Bill Of Animal Rights

Thomas Jefferson once said “We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness….” Take a look at the phrase “...all Men are created equal… certain unalienable Rights…” That is a right that no one can take away from another person, they are endowed by their Creator with rights including but not limited to life and the pursuit of happiness. Animals have roamed the earth long before humans ever arrived, they did as they pleased, walked freely and breathed deeply.
Unalienable rights, are rights given to us when we are born, they are the basic HUMAN rights that can not be taken away, but why are they only human rights? Animals have been around before we were even in the picture, and yet, humanity doesn’t give animals a bill of rights. We slaughter, mistreat, and deny life to thousands of living beings. I believe that instead of all men having been created equal, it should be all has been created equal. A Bill of Rights for Animals would not be that hard, it isn’t that difficult of a concept.
