Biggest Pet Peeves
My biggest pet peeves are someone chewing with their mouth open, and people who don't use their manners. It makes my skin crawl to here the saliva and food get chewed up. Watching someone who chews food with their mouth open is the most unattractive thing to me. It actually makes my stomach weak thinking of someone doing this. I notice it every time and instantaneously my attitude changes. Nobody enjoys watching or hearing food as someone chews it up. I am disgusted and I just want to leave where ever I am. The sound and sight of it makes me sick. One of my next big pet peeves is someone who does not use their manners. I feel no matter what type of parent you had good or bad. Your parent does expect you to say please, thank you, yes ma'am, no ma'am, no sir, and yes sir. I believe these are just the basics of having good manners. Straying off from the words people can say, the actions people can do as far as hold a door for the person behind you, pulling out someone’s chair at dinner, or even helping a little old lady in a store to find something.

Isn’t it annoying when someone is trying to go to his or her locker before and after class, but could not because couples are making out in front the lockers? It is also annoying when people are holding hands and walking really slow and students who are trying to get somewhere are unable to do so. Public Display of Affection, a.k.a PDA, has always been controvercial. In fact, many are against it and believe there should be limits on PDA. Moreover, public display of affection can be expressed in any forms. PDA can range from holding hands to hugging and to even more inappropriate actions such as full making-out session and touching innappropriate places. As a matter fact, PDA is inappropriate and should be kept out of school. But students should also have his or her freedom of expression.…

One thing that I hate is when people are made fun of or people tend to generalized everyone from one culture. This is an issue that I have been standing out for. I have to explain to others that just because someone is the way they are or have done something that is not correct that does not mean that everyone from that culture is the same. I am very outspoken when it comes to this matter. This has set me up for others to isolate me. Sometimes people lack of knowledge because they do not seek information about other cultures or whatever reason they have they tend to isolate others because they do not fit in their world.…

In the “The Good Society”, Goodman, challenges relativism, in presenting the debate, that there are some things that are just wrong, no matter what. In other words, we are all held to a universal moral requirement. No matter what race, religion, ethnic background, sex, financial status we hold, or political stance, we as a human may be, or hold, we all have a moral duty to fulfill as human beings. Not only to ourselves, but to each other as well. Which points out one of the three main things Goodman suggests our human right to life.…

For me, I want to punch anybody who sits there and lets their food hang out of their mouth while rattling off the latest gossip. I'm not the only one who feels that way, "Many a times I just want to walk up to someone when smacking food and smack them." It just grosses me out beyond anything else. I learned the embarrassing way to chew politely. My friend pointed it out while we were at a nice dinner with her parents when I was about nine. Since that day, I've always chewed quietly with my mouth closed.…

Burping and slurping at the dinner table, how disgusting? In our culture such behaviors aren’t acceptable along with eating with our hands or even eating food off the floor after we have dropped it. Much to my surprise, after doing some research, all of those unacceptable behaviors that we have grown up to avoid at the dinner table are accepted by other cultures around the world. Everyone is different, especially our cultures. I mainly discovered that what we find acceptable in our culture as good mealtime behaviors is disrespectful in other cultures. Also, what we find rude other cultures find acceptable at the dining table.…
