The next term that I chose is bonding. From the first part of the movie, where Big Mike and his friend were playing basketball at a local school who they were waiting. Throughout the movie, we saw the friend coming together for the little kid who is helping him out. Also, his friend is telling him how to wear his clothing. The friend also gives him the location of different place that he was passing by. The kid who he is saying with he is helping him to become a better in football.
Valued social identities is the term I choose. From the movie we saw Big Mike have a hard time in life. When he started school, the teachers didn’t know what to do. The teacher figures out how to help him by giving him a different way of learning then they normally do. He tries out football because of how good his grades were, and he found that football was the good way to go and that earn him a spot on the team. After school was finished he went to the NFL and he was the first draft pick.
Parental favoritism is next term in this movie. The day after Big Mike went to the house for a night, the mom of the house saw how he was sitting at the table for Thanksgiving. After she saw that he was sitting alone, she turns the tv off and tells everyone to move into the kitchen to have a food.
