Do you think your summer was horrible and not exciting for you? Find out what happen to this thirteen year girl. A girl by the name Bethany Hamilton was attacked by a shark in Kauai, Hawaii. Bethany was waiting for the wave to surf and all of a sudden a shark attacks her. The shark bit off her left and part of her board. She is in the hospital now. Bethany has shown great resilience in overcoming a shark attack in order to achieve her surfing dream. She is being very brave and she is trying to get back in the water to surf again. She is now trying to surf after her surgery. Bethany was scared to get in the water but once it hit her feet and family members cheered her on she got in.     A scary two days later one returns. Nick is the only survivors so he helped in writing the book. He is a dynamic character in his courage, strength, and positive attitude when things are tough. After about five hours of being in the water, no one wants to go under the boat to try to get supplies, food or water, anything that could help them. Nick does reach and get Will’s cell phone and try calling everyone including 9-1-1. He keep trying every ten to fifteen minutes. “ But I kept getting the same message… NO SERVICE…..SEND WHEN SERVICE AVAILABLE? I kept hitting YES, hoping against hope”(50). One person I like to talk about is Nick Galis which is a historical athlete basketball player in the history of Greece.He was born in New Jersey USA?
