In this story Beowulf doesn’t defeat just one monster, not two either, but three monsters! His defeats didn’t come easy but he did get it done and that’s all that matters. Correct? Beowulf doesn’t just pick out fights because he likes to cause problems. There are reasons why he goes to war with them. His first fight came against a monster called Grendel it did not come easy but he ended up defeating him and having his arm chopped off. Then his second came against Grendel’s mother which was basically impossible to see if Beowulf would have been able to come out victorious. But, like all heroes there’s a way to make it a happy ending and that’s what basically happened but it was not the ending! His last fight came against not human or monster but a dragon. You heard correct a dragon! It was a brutally tough battle. Excuse my language it was a hell and back fight. Don’t get me wrong I was hoping for Beowulf to have a easy battle I was incorrect. Beowulf came out severely injured which basically ended up leading to Beowulf’s death. Sorry for the bad news you Beowulf fans but to lighten you up a bit he did defeat the dragon. He did come out victorious and he is the hero, the almighty hero! So, he did come out with a undefeated record in his battles but they did not come
