Benvolio Peaceful Quotes
Benvolio has a peaceful personality, who cares and supports his best friend Romeo. When Benvolio is first introduced to the story, he was with the Montagues in the middle of “three civil brawls” (1.1.91). He didn’t fight the Capulets like the rest of the Montagues, instead he announces “I do but keep the peace. Put up thy sword” (1.1.69). Being the peaceful man that Benvolio is, he tried to stop the fight and keep peace in the city. To symbolize Benvolio’s act of peace, I decided to put a picture of a peace sign. By Benvolio’s effort to keep the peace in the city, I felt that a representation of the peace sign was a perfect fit. It is easily seen that Benvolio cares immensely for Romeo.
