Benefits of Teamwork
Benefits of Teamwork
“Teamwork is the ability to work together towards a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments towards organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” Andrew Carnegie
Teamwork has its own benefits that are evident to every human being. One of the most beneficial of the benefits is brainstorming. It also leads to other benefits. Collection of new ideas amongst people gives a chance to explore more and more ideas. It broadens our visual canvas, as each time, new ideas are contributed or enhanced upon. With multiple brains working together, a better approach to the work can be achieved as the team itself says, Together Everyone Achieves More. The same thing can be highlighted in a beautiful quote listed below,
“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.”
Michael Jordan
Doing a work, achieving a goal, is set under a new light when working as a team. Work becomes interesting as well as less burdensome. Load of work can be shared effectively saving time and bringing about more efficiency. As a group, helping others and encouraging them becomes a common practice leaving positive vibes on less able ones. Appreciation can lead to enhancing self-esteem of an individual, thus, the feeling of being important arises.
A boost in self-confidence is just down the road if one follows the road saying “teamwork”. Teamwork provides a whole new platform for the introverts. As it requires participation from each member, it enhances communication skills leading to a wider social circle. Socialization plays a vital role in an individual’s life as it leads to a healthier brain. Thereby, teamwork can benefit individual mentally and a harmonious atmosphere is created.
A sense of responsibility develops as each member is motivated to work for the benefit

One great advantage of self-directed work teams is that it provides better solutions. A number of employees combined together will increase the synergy and the group will come with better ideas and solutions compared to if they were working individually. Second advantage is that when employees work in teams, they receive more support from their fellow team mates than if they were to work in a non-team environment. Team work is defined as the process of working collaboratively with a group of people in order to achieve a goal. A successful team involves individuals who can work well together, trying their best in any circumstance to achieve that one main goal that they have set out to achieve. Teamwork means that people will try to cooperate, using their individual skills and providing constructive feedback, despite any personal conflict between among themselves. In every team, all members should possess qualities such as honesty, dependability and accountability. Team work may sometimes be challenging because every team has their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (S.W.O.T), but for team work to be effective, each team should aim for S.M.A.R.T, this means they should aim at goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, and realistic and spend time to perform the tasks necessary for the success of that team’s goal.…
