Benefit Of Going To College
Going to college and earning a college degree is an important step in life of many people. It requires a lot of hard work and time to spend, but it will be a reward and a better future later on. In my opinion, everyone should go to college because college is all about opportunities and future. Below are some of the reasons I believe everyone should go to college.
The first benefit of going to college is to have better career opportunities. The most common way for people to get a good career is to earn a college degree. Most high – skill jobs required a college degree, or higher degree. On the other hand, low - skill jobs only required a high school diploma (Carlson 4). Going to college will help students gain new experiences, new skills, and knowledges so the students can be prepared enough when they apply to jobs, and go to work. For most people, the best way to have high income is going to college and get a college degree. Most careers like doctor, business, or engineering required higher degrees such as bachelor degree, master degree, or PhD, and often come with higher pay. Without going to college, it will be difficult for people to get a high pay jobs. A college graduate will definitely earn more money than those who only a high school graduate. The college graduates earn an average starting salary of $40,000, Mr.Wagner says (Carlson 4).
The last benefit of going to college is to have a better future. Attending to college require a lot of hard work and time, but that work and time will be a reward in the future such as knowledge, career, and money. Some people might be drop out of school, but those who finished will be prepared for graduate school and more remunerative work (Carlson 7).
