Benedick And Beatrice In Much Ado About Nothing
Much Ado About Nothing follows two accounts of young love, one being Claudio and Hero, the other being Benedick and Beatrice. The plan to trick Benedick and Beatrice to thinking the other loves them was successful in bringing the two together. Beatrice expresses her unwillingness to marry by comparing it to an annoying situation.: “I had rather hear my dog bark at a crow than a man swears he loves me” (15). It is humorous that Beatrice does not want to marry, but ends up with Benedick, her disputant. Benedick also does not want to marry, he would rather stay a bachelor. He even explains how he should be portrayed as a devil when he marries, which shows his resent towards marriage. It is ironic that two people who swore they would never marry
