I find it so interesting how you used the point of view of Bella instead of Edward. Bella’s point of view was very unique. She always seemed to have an inner battle with herself; mostly about her love for Edward. The relationship between Bella and Edward is so intense and contrasting. The quote, “And so the lion fell in love with the lamb” (Meyer 130), perfectly describes their relationship and how they should not be in love, but they can not stay away from each other. The symbolically shows that Bella is Edward’s prey yet they fall in love. The way they contrast so greatly is my favorite concept of Twilight. Bella is humanity, and Edward is symbolic of death, yet Bella fits with Edwards darkness with her pale skin, and Edward balances out Bella’s sedate personality with his friendly one. Bella is light, and Edward is darkness☺. The last line of the novel: “And then the night closed over me” (Meyer 498), makes me think that she is ready to go to the dark side. I would really like to know what the apple on the cover means. It is a very interesting, eye-catching cover but I do not feel like it is very applicable to the book, but at the same time, I love the simplicity. I would also like to know why you decide to write the book from Bella’s perspective. I feel like Edward has so much wisdom and experience. I think it would be interesting to know what is going on inside his head. I question why you made Bella so normal.
