Team is a group of people with different yet complementary skills which are there in group members who come together in order to complete a task, job, goal or a project and the process of working together with those team members so as to achieve/complete that goal/job/task is called a Team work.
Team Management- It refers to the process/technique/tools acquired to bring all the team members together so as to work towards a common task/goal/job. I
If we come to think of it, success of an organization majorly depends upon employee’s skills, innovation et al. These employees with different skill set come together and work together, thus achieving a goal for the organization. Hence making it successful.
We all have heard or read about several team management approaches by well-known academic authors.
Some of them being, Dr.Merdith Belkin role model theory. According to him, A team is not a bunch of people with job titles but a group of people who have gathered, wherein each and every individuals role(basis the skill set) is understood by the other team members. These roles are chosen by the team members which come quite naturally to them, thus performing the task effectively.
Team building model proposed by Tuckman. According to him, a team or team members don’t start off with the assigned job or a goal without being fully formed or functioned. For this Tuckman has defined four stages for developing a team or a group for them to grow and face challenges together as a team.
These four stages are namely 1. Forming 2. Storming 3. Norming 4. Performing

Taking Belebin’s theory, he argues that an optimum size of team should not be more than 4 members, moreoever if we exceed

When it comes to teamwork, most people will consider teamwork in terms of being part of a baseball, basketball, or football team. In contrast, a team is “really just a group of people who use their skills, experience, and knowledge to work toward a common goal” (Beverly K. Bachel, 2007). Teams working together in the workplace are extremely productive and profitable. Teams working together increase problem-solving skills and innovation, quality, and decrease turnover and absenteeism. (Scarnati, J 2006) Teams have an overall high success rate when well structured and the communication between the team members stays open throughout the project. A team is a collection of individuals who have gathered to achieve the same…
