Despite my passion to become a well-rounded filmmaker, that means nothing if I can’t get myself organized. Last year, I had a lot of trouble becoming more responsible and coming to every class. This year I have started very strong, working hard to keep up and take these classes seriously. In efforts to keep this habit, I’ve started marking things down on my planner and have found that its essential for me to do this in order to keep track of all the things I do. I have three other classes that I equally try hard in. Besides the important matter of learning to balance my time more, I’ve found it quite easy to deal with the assignments themselves, it has just been a matter of assigning myself a time to put aside to work on them. As of now my general education classes and my film classes…

I start my daily routine by waking up at six in the morning. I slowly get out of bed and stand up to stretch to help myself wake up. I then lay out my clothes for the day on my bed and walk to the bathroom to take a shower. I wash my hair, body, and face in the shower then get out and dry myself. I comb out my tangles while my hair is wet and apply product for my curly hair. I then brush my teeth while my hair air dries. After I finish brushing my teeth I return to my room to put my contacts in, put my clothes on, and get my bag ready for school.…

The last time I remember something as huge as starting in high school was having to move to Oregon from Alaska, but for better or for worse, here I am, attempting to make my mark on this big blue Earth. However, Highschool was never always just peaches, cream, rainbows and unicorns. If I’m to be one hundred percent honest here, I was legitimately terrified of it, whether it be the totally reasonable fear of being stuffed into a locker by a bully or getting lost in a labyrinth of corridors and passages of infinite classes and broom closets. But those fears never truly emerged up until the final days of freedom that remained from my graduation of 8th grade. As the days drew nearer, so did my fear reaching the brim of a breakdown. I was scared,…

“Don’t give up; don’t ever give up,”, are the words of the great college basketball coach Jimmy V. He said this in his speech during the ESPY awards just a few years before he died of cancer. This quote was, and still is, very inspirational to me. From that day on, I used the quote as inspiration to do my best in everything I do. It helped me become a better student once I heard it. Before that I would not complete my work, and I just didn’t care about the grades I was getting. However, after that, it changed me into a different student. This short quote can change a person’s life if he just take it to heart. If a person wants to become a good student I would suggest that he listen to this whole speech. The words in the speech can help a person become a better person in life, but more importantly, it can make the younger people become better students. To enable oneself to become this good student, one must also be responsible, have a good attitude and participate.…
