Being Materialistic Is Just a Waste of Time.
People now are more concerned with making more money and what money can buy. The more money they have, the greater they think of themselves. Is money really important? Does money guarantee you success and happiness in life? I do not think so. People who are materialistic are the kind of people who do not see much in life. They only see life as a medium for them to make more money and be happy. To me, being materialistic is a waste of time, not to mention a waste of effort in making so much money and spent it on goods. I also think that by being materialistic you are defined yourself indirectly and it sets a boundary in your life.
Why do I say that being materialistic is a waste of time? You see, you are so caught up in making more money that you do not have time to socialize with your friends. Is making more money worth the price you have to pay to lose a friend? I know it is not. Yes, you can say that you have money and that people will be attracted to you and wants to be your friend but little do you know, that those friends are stabbing you right from the back. Have all the money in the world but I cannot buy you a friendship. As the saying goes, true friend stabs you in the front never at the back. Now you see why I say that being materialistic is a waste of time? You waste the opportunities to meet and be friends with other people.
Imagine this. You have worked so hard this month and it is time for payday! You get your pay and you are off to the nearest shopping mall and spent all your salary for that particular month. You bought such as Gucci handbags, Mac make up’s, Adidas sportswear and then what? You go home to that same old house and life goes on. I mean what happens to the things you buy? Do you feel happy? Genuinely happy? I am a realistic person. I do not see the point of sending your month’s salary on something that is not permanent. I see more to life that what I see with my two eyes. I find joy and happiness in others who surrounds me. If I were
