Being A Pediatrician Narrative
In florida I got to get close with people I would never have met if my parent had not let me go on this once in a lifetime opportunity trip. In florida we spent every day every minute every second doing something. Whether it swimming, shopping, or all five teenagers sleeping together. The first couple of days we spent every waking moment of the sun swimming in a resort. We also went to a local Florida amusement park. The best part of the amusement park was not the rides or that I can in second in gokarting but that everyone who went was wearing White Chuck Taylors. I unfortunately missed Mason's third birthday but I made it up with going on a helicopter ride with Manny and his cousin Willie. That same day we went to Hooters and the Sugar Factory for our first time. The day was one to never forget. Our last three days we did not take our eyes off the TV because we were having Horror Movie Marathon. The couch was …show more content…
I look at my past and not only see tears and disease but many reasons to push me ahead to become one of the greatest pediatricians in New Jersey. My love for science and working with kids developed into one and i've decided that I am going to be a Pediatrician. Because of my past I can now look into my future and see kids in need of medical attention and help them like my pediatrician helped me. I may not be 100% or the happy person I was before, but I now see all the reason to live. God did not make me go through all of this for me just to end it. God didn't give me older siblings and later a younger brother to be just like them but to be opposite from them. Im almost done with highschool and Im not playing in Varsity Football or soccer i'm not a Straight A student and I know I won't graduate with a 4.0 GPA but I am Sebastian A. Bonilla. I will make my own legacy at MRHS and will continue, and I will keep working to be the first Doctor in my

My ideal job is being a pediatrician. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, “General pediatricians provide care for infants, children, teenagers, and young adults. They specialize in diagnosing and treating problems specific to younger people. Most pediatricians treat common illnesses, minor injuries, and infectious diseases, and administer vaccinations. Some pediatricians specialize in pediatric surgery or serious medical conditions that commonly affect younger patients, such as autoimmune disorders or chronic ailments”. All my life, I have always dreamed of becoming a doctor. I decided to major in the medical field when I was in 5th grade; at first I wanted to be a pediatrician, but now I want to have a degree in tropical medicine…

Before this shadowing experience, I knew that pursuing a career in medicine is something that I was interested in, but I never had a real experience to examine a typical doctor's life. After the first week of shadowing, I started getting a sense of what it is to be a doctor. Becoming a doctor is not something easy. Every time I went to the office, there was a big list of patients that doctor Eloy had to meet. He had to be careful about the way he acts and the way he talks with patients, nurses, and other doctor. Even though it seemed so hard at the beginning, I enjoyed this experience and I learned a lot from it. I learned that being a doctor requires more than going to medical school. Medical school is just the first step. I learned that a…

I started my first year of college with my life prearranged. I had a ridiculous notion that everything was going to be a piece of cake. I was going to join different clubs, do lots of research, make the dean’s list, make my parents proud and attend as many parties as I could. However, now when I look back, I realized that I was too comfortable in my life. I thought I was ready to overcome every obstacle that was thrust upon me but I was sadly mistaken. College was a culture shock. I concluded that college is an entirely different universe, then high school. My GPA dropped for the first time in my life from a 3.7 in high school to a 2.8. The decline in my GPA made me realize that my journey to becoming a doctor is not always going to be easy. It made me hunger to go to medical school even more, to overcome the academic and emotional hurdles, and…

There are two instances in my life that has inspired me to gain interest in medicine. My grandmother when I was around the age of twelve received double bypass surgery and I fell in love with the physician who took care of her. The physician was a middle aged woman who was one of the kindest person I have ever met, and she gave us the news of how everything went fine during surgery. She also gave us great confidence in how my grandmother would return to normal soon. The look on my parents and aunts face when she gave the news gave me goosebumps and to this day I feel the same goosebumps when I think about this. I just wanted to one day be in a position to deliver good news to a family and to see that “look” of relief on their faces. Another…

I am interested in pursing the major I chose above because I have developed a passion for medicine through my own health obstacles. I suffer from Chronic Migraines, which has caused me to spend a great deal of my life in doctor's offices. Positive experiences with my doctors lead to me idolizing them as a young child; so much so that I memorized the every bone in the body at the age of five. This passion stayed alive and well as I grew older, however my admiration began to transition from the doctors themselves to the subject. This all stemmed from my own health; I wanted to know exactly what was happening with my body and why. Now, I want to dedicate my life to the subject and possibly be the doctor that inspires someone to discover their…

Growing up there were always children in and out of my household. Everytime I turn around my parents were always watching someone’s kid. I was never alone, there was always someone to play with, talk too, or even fight with. My parents loved helping raise and take care of children so the older I got the more it rubbed off on me. When I was old enough they gave me the responsibility to babysit my cousins and children of family friends. I grew up in a big family so there were always children around in need of a babysitter.…

I didn’t really do much over the summer. We went to Indiana beach, and I am not too fond of roller coasters, or any ride for that matter, except for at water parks. Last year in 7th grade we went to Washington D.C and saw the washington monument, lincoln memorial, we went inside the Capitol building, The Changing of the Guard at Arlington cemetery, saw The White House. That didn’t really interest me, I don’t even have any souvenirs! Even earlier in the year, we went to Buffalo, New York. We saw a football game (the team we were rooting for lost,(TO THE JETS!) and we got to see Niagara Falls.…
