The world is filled with many different types of professional people that help maintain our health status. Nurse Practitioners are one of these important professionals that diagnose, treat acute, episodic, chorionic Illnesses, independently or as part of a healthcare team. They focus on health and disease prevention. Also, order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and prescribe medication. Every nurse practitioner has their own strengths of skills in doing this job. One important skill of being a nurse is active listening. Which involves giving full attention to what your patient is saying, and being dedicated with time to understand the points being made. Having your masters in nursing can help you get a job easily in the medical field. Other jobs like a nurse practitioner is a Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, which you specialize in continuing the comprehensive healthcare for adults across the lifespan from adolescence to old age. If that doesn't interest you there is still plenty of jobs to branch off too, like being a Clinical Nurse Specialist. You're basically an expert clinician in a specialized area of nursing practice. The specialty may be in a population, a setting, a disease, or type of problem. CNS are engaged in direct clinical practice; function as consultants in their area of expertise; provide expert coaching and guidance to their companions. As I did my research about being a nurse practitioner, I knew it was the right career for me. I learned that this career isn't easy, it comes with long days and sleepless nights.
