Being A Band Teacher Essay
Band Teachers
Students of a specific English teacher at Southwestern Michigan College were given the task of writing an essay on their perspective careers. The following essay will then be on the career of a Band Teacher. If one does not know what a band teacher is, then one will surely learn today. A Band Teacher is a person who has gone to college and obtained a bachelors degree in music education.
Things that one will have to do in this particular career vary as to where and how they use their degree. they can either teach in a high school or open their own center and give private lessons on their major instrument. If one teaches in a high school then they will be in charge of commanding a classroom, putting together concerts for the community,

It all depends on where one would want to live, how many schools are in their district, and how many openings for this career there are in said schools. Or the person may choose to open their own studio and start giving private lessons. Overall if one wants to stay in their area or move someplace new, they are almost guaranteed a job opening.
Reasons one might want to be a Band Teacher is the extraordinary chance to work with children and adolescents and help them hone skills they will need later in life. Or a reason could be that they would like to spread music and talent across the world throughout many different generations. Or perhaps spread music awareness about all the different types of music out there. Or even, one would want to teach kids, but want to teach them something that will last.
A person may choose this career because they have an infinite passion for music that they wish to spread. Maybe even because music may run in their blood, and they wish to put this to good use. Also they could have an affinity for visual and audio design and want to make that apparent to their home community. Maybe they even just want to be remembered by their students

In seventh grade, my brother joined the middle school band. This was the start of a new beginning for me. My perspective of others started to broaden slightly by being exposed to some band members who were my brother’s friends. Three years later, when I entered seventh grade, I decided to join the middle school band and play the trumpet. I finally was a part of the group that I had been mocking for years. This was a large step for me. I was about to embark on a tremendous journey that would completely change my perspective on life. I would start to realize, as I became closer to the other members, that band students are not all the geeks that they are made out to be. While some members are a little quirky and some of the things that I did in band were a little weird, I truly discovered all of the great things that band has to offer. As I soon came to realize, members of marching bands gain valuable character traits, leadership skills, and academic benefits that help them excel in…
