Behind the Wheel
Learning to drive can be nerve wrecking for people. It is a craze and a basic necessity in the busy life of today. People want to learn how to drive for many reasons, but learning how to drive is a long process. Learning to drive takes patience, alertness, and confidence.
Patience is the art to driving. If a person does not have much patience, then learning to drive can be really difficult. Drives must not rush to where they want to go. Being in a hurry increases the chances of being in an accident. Also, riding on someone’s bumper is showing how impatient a person is even if the person in front of he or she is driving slowly. Go with the flow of traffic. It’s not a race out there.
Being alert is also important when driving. Drivers need to be aware of what is happening around them. For example, paying attention to the speed limit while driving decreases the chances of getting a speeding ticket. Another thing to be alert of is wearing seatbelts. Wearing seat belts keeps passengers safe from injuries if involved in accident. Lastly and most important, obey all laws when driving. Breaking a law could be serious consequences that could get a driver’s license taken away. For instance, passing by a stopped school bus is a class 2 misdemeanor and five points on a driver’s license.
Finally, no one can become a good driver if they don’t have confidence. No one is a perfect driver. With practice, drivers can become a better driver and build confidence as well. The more a person drives, the more confidence they gain. Concentrate on the road and not the other drivers that are rushing. People who are new to driving also should ask their parents or anyone they know who has their license to drive with them to critique how he or she drive. Even though they may not want to hear it, it will let the driver know what he or she needs to practice doing.
Learning to drive can be fun and stressful. People can go wherever he or she wants to and also deal with
