Pilkington also uses the quote “ They have come to take our women.” (pg.201) , Pilkington shows somewhat how the dialogue affects the character’s life but not a full concept of it there’s not much detail in the sentence to pull the reader into the story. In imagery Pilkington makes character’s surroundings sound as if everything is peaceful and tranquil like in this quote: “How peaceful it was, with the sounds of birds twittering high above, amid the leafy branches of the giant river gums, and the occasional splash of the fish in the river.” (pg.197). Another imagery Pilkington gives is said in this quote:” ..grandmothers yelling orders to their offspring, children playing games, some fighting and squabbling, others delightfully splashing and diving in the pool.” (pg.200), The author Pilkington doesn’t make it seem as bad as Boo does for Abul which makes you think that Abdul really had his childhood stolen from him where in Rabbit Proof-Fence it makes it seem as if life was going fine for them.
