I conducted my observation in the reading room of McCain Library, also known as the nap room by many Agnes Scott students. The reading room is a long rectangular space that is very open and has one wall covered in ceiling to floor windows. There are a few paintings and a large fireplace, with a big sofa right in front of it, at the end of the room. The majority of the couches are faced directly towards the windows, where students can people watch while studying. The rest of the room is decorated…

This house and porch swing was found on the internet but would go perfectly with the scene of Cameron and Neely meeting for the first time in 15 years. Cameron’s Parents house is your classic Main St. upper-middleclass family home with a paved driveway and green grass all year round. In the driveway sits three cars, Acura RSX (2003) Infiniti QX (2003) and a Chevrolet Silverado (1990). Its close to sunset when the scene takes place so the porch lights are on. I’m choosing to film the big locker…

For a long time, I thought all good chairs have four legs to stable. But after all the research, studies show that chairs are more stable with three legs. Now that is why my group's chair has three legs. The chairs that I looked at home didn't have three legs but had supporting connectors that held the legs together with stability and support. The group had all seen this in the chairs they had at home and now the way we incorporated the beams, we made sure they were all in the same position so the…

Like a sea of people’s faces, the crowd moves in a strong current across the airport floor. They flow like a smooth, fast-running stream down the escalators. Some people come to a stop and cause a bit of a traffic jam, but the others simply continue to flow around them. Mixed emotions float in the atmosphere. I notice a child crying. She is saying goodbye to her father who is obviously going away for a while. Tears run down a mother’s cheek, who is welcoming her son home. The reflection of a business…

The elevator stops in front of two big white doors. They open automatically when I step on front of them. Once inside, there is a is a long hallway with four rooms on each side. Each room had a chalkboard with a name hanging from them. I go upstairs to find a room for myself. I find a room at the very top of the stairs. I go into it and find a blank chalk board with a piece of chalk. I write my name and hang it on the door. I look at the clock and see that it's pretty late so i decide to go to bed…

I agree with your critique, the red door in the background is distracting and the purpose of this assignment wasn't fully met. I like the little details of this image, like the water droplets on the glass and the design of the window. The angle of the shot is nice, but if the background wasn't so busy or if it was blurred out more, it would have easily made a better image. It definitely has potential. Like you said, they could have waited for the sun to come out more to have stronger…

The Bedroom by Vincent Van Gogh Although viewing a painting by definition, includes the process of visual perception, it is not limited to the “eye” of the beholder. I have chosen to look at Van Gogh’s 1888 oil on canvas painting, The Bedroom. What one “sees” in any image is colored by a plethora of factors that inform the viewer-consciously and unconsciously. Thus, Plato’s argument about the objectivety of art, its quantifiable ability to be “judged” is based on a flimsy, static version…
