Becoming A Dentist Essay

As a child growing up it was natural to be terrified of the dentist. However, after my first appointment I came to realize that dentistry is something I would like to pursue in the future of my life. I have a strong interest in the profession as it allows me to make people feel better about themselves. Dentistry requires a great deal of skills such as communications, critical thinking, and patience. With hard work and dedication, I believe that I can perfect these skills and establish a successful career. There are a lot of advantages to becoming a dentist. To begin, everyone needs a dentist, so there are numerous amounts of job opportunities. They also earn good salaries while maintaining a flexible work schedule. As our generation gets older
I had a terrible under bite along with a gap that could be seen across the room. After some thought, I talked with my parents and decided that I would get braces. I went to my doctor and he recommended me to go to FMY. When I first got braces I was terrified to talk and stayed mostly to my own. This turned out to have helped me because I began to get involved with my school work, and in return make better grades. I started to notice that I acquired a strong work ethic while keeping to myself. After a couple of weeks passed I started talking normally again and came out of the shell I felt like I was in. During February of my junior year I got my braces removed, and I can argue that I was the happiest kid on earth when I saw how perfect my teeth looked. I could not wait to go to school and show my friends what a miracle the braces had done to my teeth. I never questioned getting braces after that day and would recommend them to everyone I know. The way they impacted my life made me want to help others with the same problem I had. Other than just making my teeth look beautiful I would like to say that braces helped me achieve my 3.8 grade point average, as well as getting accepted to the school of my dreams as a
