My Imagined Beach

ENG121: English Composition
August 26, 2013

After living for fifty-five years and visiting a lot of places, I have never been to or sat on, or walked along beach like the one in my imagination. Even though, I have not had this pleasure, I do have a vivid imagination. Sometimes when I want to get away, I imagine walking along the shores and sitting on the beach. My get away beach is perfect. The most beautiful beach that I have ever seen is in my imagination. In my imagination my perfect beach is a place where the sand looks clean like sugar spread out for miles. In the early morning, I can walk along the shore the soft, warm sand is squishing between my toes and making foot prints with every step (Scripps Networks, LLC. 2012). The sun is shining its blessings and cool crystal clear waters are kissing my feet. I find to be so peaceful to see the sand castles that still remained from the day before. At the shore there are colorful seashells in the sand when the sun hits down on them. In the distance is the ocean, which is as blue as blue as the sky (Scripps Networks, LLC. 2012). Another thing that I can see is the seagulls free like the wind soaring through the sky. I can also hear the seagulls loudly shriek as they soar gracefully above. I imagine that I am sitting on my perfect beach in evening, smelling the salt air, and feeling the cool breeze. I can hear the water and the crashing waves collide against the shore with their relaxing, rhythmic splashes like smooth jazz music (The Daily Paul, 2007-2013). The sun is slowly melting into the ocean and the sky is the shade of bright purple that can only be seen at dusk. It has been a long, hot day in the sun, and it feels nice to know that if I get too hot that I only have to walk about ten feet down until I get into the brisk cool waters of the ocean. Peace, serenity, contentment is the feeling that overwhelms me when I’m at my perfect

AT THE BEACH(another) A draught blew by me taking my spirit with it. The strands of hair crossed my face; the sun peaked its way above the horizon as if it was scared to shed some light. The smell of the salty sea tingled my nose as I breathed in a breath of fresh air. The sand was a mine field of corals, with a collection of many different multicolored sea shells; however at the same time, the sand was a bed of blankets. The way the sand flowed onto my feet and out to the spaces between my toes…

The Beach The smell of salt in the air, the wind blistering my face, the sun glinting in my eyes; these are some of my favorite things about the beach. I have always loved the beach and I have always love the sights and smells of it. The first thing I always notice when I first step out of the car, even when it’s only at the beach house and not the actual beach, the smell of seaweed and salt immediately attacks my nostrils. No smell is as potently sweet as the sour smell of the ocean…

different for everyone. I enjoy the sight of waves crashing and thick white foam. Sometimes the waves seem to be roaring and at other times barely rolling. Thats one reason why I like the beach, its always a mystery. A complete getaway from the concrete jungle we live in and a place to just relax with nature, thats the beach. Theres always the grainy sand that seems to make its way into everything and then the humid salty air that seems to paint a layer onto your body when you get out, but those are such…

The beach is a place by the sea. There is soft sand, and gentle blue waves. The ocean licks the shore, keeping it continuously wet, like a young child having their first ice cream. The water is blue, like the cloudless sky. There are rock pools, and beautiful shells. On the shore there is washed up stretchy seaweed, and dried crunching coral. In the sky, the sun shines and seagulls fly. Further along, waves lap against rocks. Hitting the rocks, the waves are cymbals in the orchestra of the ocean…
