Beach Blondes
The title of my book is Beach Blondes. This novel was written by Katherine Applegate. The genre is realistic fiction and there is a little bit of suspense throughout. Katherine lives in California with her husband and two kids. She mostly writes young adult fiction and children books. She has also sold more than 35million copies of the Animorphs series. The book Beach Blondes is one of four others in her “Summer” series. Summer Smith lives in a small town in Minnesota, where it is always cold and nobody noticed her. She has liked a guy named Sean Valletti for ages, but he hasn’t given her the time of day. So When aunt Mallory called and offered for Summer to spend the whole summer in Florida, she was overjoyed. Mallory lives in Crab Claw Key with her daughter Diana. Summer describes Crab Claw Key as “green irregular shapes like mismatched jewels strung …show more content…
There is Summer, obviously, Diana, Marquez, Seth, and Diver. Summer is just an average 16-year-old blond. She has lived in Minnesota her whole life and never really had a serious relationship before spending the summer in Florida. She is sweet and nice and has never done anything really bad. Diana is 18 and she has some issues. She’s super gorgeous and Summer envies her. However, nobody realizes Diana is depressed and suicidal. Marquez’s real name actually isn’t Marquez. Her name is Maria but she goes by her last name because she thinks that Maria is too basic. Seth is the boy that “ seems to be the right one.” Summer first sees him on the plane ride to Florida. Then they talk in the airport and Summer really begins to like him. Unfortunately, he already has a girlfriend. Diver is the mysterious one. We first get introduced to his character when Summer wakes up in the middle of the night to see a person standing in her stilt house. Diver is probably the most beautiful human alive, or at least; that’s what Diana and Marquez

I have always been very pleased with the items I buy at Beach Bums. I must admit that I am a little name brand snobby as in I have Lilly Pulitzer/Janie and Jack taste but a Carter's clearance budget. At beach bums I have been able to snag Janie and Jack shirts for $3-$4 (usually on clearance $15 or higher) I usually make about $200-$250 on the clothes I sold at the sale and I spend around $100 for my son's new clothes. This has been a huge help for our family with our budget for clothes, toys, etc.…

When the characters where in their middle school years Topanga to them was an outcast, eccentric, and strange girl. Of course the boys were in middle school and were not interested in girls but even when they became interested they still thought that Topanga was one girl they could never even relate to. She was known as the eccentric hippie with interests in the supernatural phenomena. She would often share the strangest facts and share her eccentric behavior to her peers often, which made them think that she was one crazy hippie. As she grows up we see a change in Topanga. I wonder why the three girls, Thea, Penn, and Lexi, want Gemma so badly and what they are. The three girls can persuade anyone into doing something. I think each one of them have different powers but they are some how the same. They are really beautiful and popular, but they keep their distance and stay in their little bubble. I think Thea can smell very good and is a vampire because she could smell Gemma over the sea and it talks about how when she smiled so you could see her sharp teeth and there was a few drops of blood on her clothes. It seems like whenever they eat, they become more beautiful, and young. “Even in the dull light of the moon, Penn’s black hair glistened, and her tan skin seemed to glow” (Hocking 1). It seems like everyone…

The thirty-first of August was a day Dipper both loved and hated. It meant he had survived another year without Bill Cypher rearing his triangular head but, that he was a year closer to that eventuality. On one particularly paranoid night, he had ground up moonstone and unicorn hair into a magical ink and snuck out to a shady tattoo parlour with a fake id and two years worth of saved allowance. So here he was on his sixteenth birthday trying to figure out how to hide the wards he had etched into his upper body from his parents. Mable thought it would be a good idea to have her sweet sixteen on the beach and as her twin brother, he was obligated to let her have her way at least on her sixteenth birthday."Well, the cat was going to come out of…

He is a fun-loving kid who faces many challenges. He is a totally a dynamic character. Auggie, that's his nickname, changed in this book; it’s almost like Auggie grew up more throughout the story. He became more mature and would talk to people at the end of the story. He would’ve never thought to do that at the beginning of the book. He changed for the better, for sure. Another character is Olivia or Via. Via is Olivia’s childhood nickname. She is also dynamic. Via faced the sadness of losing her friends and being excluded from a lot. Eventually Via just made new friends solving all her problems. Via is Auggie’s only sister. Summer is another character. Summer becomes one of Auggie’s best friends. Summer is a dynamic character. She steped outside the box and talked to Auggie when she didn’t have too. She showed Auggie kindness; she is an outgoing sweetheart. Nobody can hate Summer. My favorite character is Summer. She is just a little ball of sunshine. She helps Auggie in a time of…
