Electronic Payment: Electronic payments are payments that are made directly to payee from your bank accounts using security features over the Internet to process the transactions. Finances and culture have been altered. New styles of commerce have developed. In our daily life often use Debit, ATMS, and Online Purchasing. The days of getting cash from the bank are long gone. We, as individuals, are now able to enjoy the convenience of using automatic teller machines (ATM), debit, and credit cards. These cards can be used to make payments, purchase goods over the internet, and even pay for gas at the gas station. As you can see, using these cards is just like using cash. Instead of giving cash to the teller, you give a plastic card that would deduct the cost of your purchase from the funds you have in the specified account. Debit and credit card transactions are now considered forms of electronic money. In these aspects Bank West can make more improvement to compete the big Banks.
Debit card: In North America, most people's awareness of credit may be more than debit cards. Debit cards and credit cards are accepted at the same places. Debit cards a plastic card issued by banks to customers. It allows instant purchase, from the user's subsidiary bank account deductions. These cards are different from credit cards, because they are allowed to buy based on the available funds in the account to be debited immediately, rather than through the use of credit can be repaid at a later time. On a lovely day in March 2009 the CEO of V&S Absolut Spirits, Ketil Eriksen, packs his suitcase for the third time in the month for a business trip to the subsidiary in New York. In March 2008 France’s Pernod Ricard won the battle to buy the maker of Absolut vodka in a costly 35.63 billion (US$8.9 billion) deal that brings it nearly level in sales with global spirits leader Diageo. Pernod’s Richard’s main gain with the acquisition of V&S Absolut Spirits was V&S’s Absolut Vodka. It is the world’s second-largest vodka brand, and the world’s leading premium vodka. Before the acquisition Penod Richard had a limited vodka portfolio and was only among the world’s leading 20 vodka manufacturers. After the acquisition Pernod Ricard becomes the second-largest vodka producer, behind Diageo. Now Pernod has also a total annual volume of 91 million 9-litre cases of spirits (in 2009), up from 75 million before, putting it just behind Diageo’s total of 93 million. While packing he thinks of how hard the company must fight to keep and increase its market share for Absolut Vodka in the United States and other markets. In the last five years Absolut Vodka has increased its world market share, but can it continue? Absolut accounts for more than half of all imported vodka sales in the United States: it is the third-largest international premium spirit and is available in 130 markets. Among premium vodkas Absolut Vodka is no. 2 worldwide, after Smirnoff. When Ketil gets on the plane at Stockholm’s airport bound for New York, there are two things that worry him: Apparently the market share of Absolut Vodka in the United States has reached saturation point. Has V&S Absolut Spirits reached its maximum market share in that country or is it time for a frontal attack on the number one brand, Smirnoff? Until now, the market share for Absolut Vodka in Europe (especially in Eastern Europe)…

The most common and easy to use include: online banking transfers where the account holder is redirected to the bank is Web site by the merchant site to effect payment. Other options are: i) electronic and mobile banking which have more advanced features, for example, schedule payments and ii) EBPP, where instead of having to enter all transaction details manually, these are automatically entered from the electronic bill and the payer only authorises. An electronic funds transfer (also known as EFT) is a system for transferring money from one bank to another without using paper money. Its use has become widespread with the arrival of personal computers, cheap networks, improved cryptography and the Internet. Since it is affected by financial fraud, the electronic funds transfer act was implemented. This federal law protects the consumer in case a problem arises at the moment of the transaction. The history electronic funds transfer originated from the common funds transfer of the past. Since the 19th century, and with the help of telegraphs, funds transfers were an usual thing in commercial transactions. Finally, it migrated itself to computers and became the electronic money transfers of today. One of the most common EFT's is Direct Deposit. It is used by employers for depositing their employees' salary in a bank account. Other kind of EFT is the automatic charge to your check or savings account. For example, when you are paying a mortgage, the bank will discharge the monthly payment from a pre-accorded bank account. The benefit is that you won't have to go to the bank to do it. It's automatic. Another kind of EFT is a cash card. With this type of card you can spend a prepaid amount of money until the balance is zero. So, if you wish to make a gift certificate without tying up your beneficiary with one store, you can buy a cash card from your favorite bank. ATM's are also used for EFT's. Since an automatic teller machine is much cheaper than a group of bank tellers, it has helped to bring costs down and beneficiate the costumer. Points of sale (also known as POS) are also part of this group. Those little blue or dark blue machines in which you pass your card are doing an electronic fund transfer from your account to the retail account. Imagine how the world without them was. Slow, wasn't it?…

or many consumers, electronic banking means 24-hour access to cash through an automated teller machine (ATM) or Direct Deposit of paychecks into checking or savings accounts. But electronic banking involves many different types of transactions. Electronic banking, also known as electronic fund transfer (EFT), uses computer and electronic technology as a substitute for checks and other paper transactions. EFTs are initiated through devices like cards or codes that let you, or those you authorize, access your account. Many financial institutions use ATM or debit cards and Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) for this purpose. Some use other types of debit cards such as those that require, at the most, your signature or a scan. For example, some use radio frequency identification (RFID) or other forms of “contactless” technology that scan your information without direct contact. The federal Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFT Act) covers some electronic consumer transactions.…
