So we played some games with the Basketball . Then we wanted to play some Horse. We played and it was my turn to shoot. I chose to go near the side so can shoot. I thought it wasn’t going to make it ,but it did. My neighbor and his dad shot and they missed. I was shocked because the shot I made was hard. So I kept making the side shots. I made the side shots and after the game I won. Then after that day I was very good at side shots. I was good at normal shots too. That day made my shooting skill better than before. If that day never happened I, wouldn't be one of the best at shooting a basketball. …show more content…
I learned that the more you’ll practice, the better you will be in a sport. That game made me be good at Basketball and if that game wasn't invented, I will still have trouble shooting. How I changed was that I was only good at shots that were not near the side, Today I am good at any spot that I shoot at except for the 3

I have been playing basketball basically my whole life, it is has shaped me into the person I am today. I started with just a ball and a hoop in my cousins front yard. I would just chuck the ball at hoop for fun, horsing around with my cousins. In elementary and middle school I would play with my friends at recess shooting around, dribbling in circles for the fun of it. I was even better then most of the boys who would play with my group on the courts. When I entered high school that was when I realized I was truly in love with the game. High school was where it was taken to a whole 'nother level. I was introduced to the real dynamics of the sport, it was where I learned that if I really want to do something that I love I had to put my all into it. I had to prove that I was one-hundred percent committed to the game. Practicing everyday for two hours, and…

Some basketball players have strange free throw shooting routines. Who are these players? Let's check it out!…

We had been playing kickball for about five minutes then finally switched sides so I could kick. With the aroma of fresh cut grass and a crispness to the air, with the sun setting on that evening in the fall, I readied myself. As the ball rolled out of my sister’s hand and headed my way, I cocked back my leg and pooched it up in the air toward the left side of my yard. That is when I first realised that I had miscalculated my kick, the ball was gliding over the fence and…

It all began with a simple phone call one night after dinner. “Joe,” my father hollered up the stairs, “it’s for you. It’s Jackie, and she sounds upset.” As I came downstairs to pick up the phone, I was not happy. I was tired and had looked forward to a nice and quiet evening at home, not another stupid adventure with Jackie.…

Crowd was in awe, Commentators were ecstatic and Kevin Harlan in his usual voice saying, Kobe can’t be denied. That day, my love affair with the Los Angeles Lakers started.…

For as long as I remember, I have been raised with a basketball hoop. This hoop stood firmly, looking down at the trees secured by patches of cement in my backyard, in my neighborhood, Dorchester. This hoop was my center of faith and tranquility surrounded by gunfires, shattering windows, car alarms. As a girl, I learned not to adventure any place else other than this hoop because going beyond its faded lines on the concrete is an unknown world full of hazards and danger. And when I did cross these seraphic lines, I could sense the bittersweet emotions running throughout the neighborhood, my home.…

Life is comprised of a series of learning profound learning experiences. On that stands out occurred last year in seventh grade. Two friends and I decided we wanted to try something new, to learn how to play basketball! We made that decision mainly because we wanted to do an activity together for the winter term, and seventh graders didn't have the option of doing the winter school play. We were very hesitant; only one of us had any experience playing basketball, and we didn't think it would be very fun to run up and down a court trying to get a ball in a hoop. Still we kept an open mind and began to learn how to play.…

Then I tripped out of bounds. After that I threw a pass to the other team. After a while of doing really bad I thought no one would like me because I was bad. Eventually I didn’t think it could be any worse but then I got packed and turned the ball over right at the end of the 2nd quarter. Finally it was halftime, a time I could cool down and redeem myself. After 15 minutes of talking, the 3rd quarter started and I made five three pointers in a row. Then I crossed a kid up and then shot a layup. All of a sudden I was actually doing well after halftime. After the game ended a boy on my team came up to me and asked if I wanted to hangout sometime.…
