Basic Elements of windows 8 operating system.Basic Navigation-
Start menu is been replace by start screen in Windows 8 operating system, where you log into system you will see Tiles on the screen, there are two type of tiles, Stagnant one where there is no activity seen live and other one is live Tile, where we get to see the live updates on the screen.
How to activate live tiles—Right click on the tile, if the tile is compactable to be live updates, in the bottom a bar pops up where you get to see turn live tile on notifications. Clicking on it enables live tiles.
2 ways to navigate around tiles-
Using mouse, when scrolled it take you to next page tiles. If using keyboard, Pressing Tab button will select and highlight the tile, every tab button hit jumps to next tile.
Moving the Tiles around—By clicking on the tile that you want to and dragging them around when you wan to the other tile move around to give space to be places where needed .
Unpinning the Tile—Right click the Tile and pop up notification bar from bellow comes up where you see unpin the tile will only make the tile Disappear from the screen.( it doesn’t uninstall with this step).
How to get to regular Desktop—
Few ways to get back to the desktop from anywhere on your PC are-
A) Open Start and then tap or click the desktop tile on the Start screen.
B) Press Windows logo key + D on your keyboard.
C) Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click Search.)
Enter desktop in the search box, and then tap or click Desktop in the results.
