Mansa Musa did not require people to be a muslim but he still practiced African religions. He still gave alms and was a generous god. Citizens were to give alms because god loves charitable and nothing they gave would make they feel fear or regret. God is always aware of whatever good they do and of all the offerings made, (document D). Mansa Musa used 12,000 personal servants and had 1,000 camels which shows the religion that Mansa Musa had. The Islamic empire were undoubtedly affected by the gradual shift towards trade routes that bypassed their lands. In 1924, Congress approved a payment to World War 1 veterans that they would receive a $1,000 bonus for their victory in the war by the year 1945. But in 1932, those veterans decided that they wanted their bonuses early due to the financial troubles that were arising. Hoover rejected their appeal because he was concerned with balancing the budget. The federal government also didn’t have the money; they were broke too at the time because of the Great Depression. In response, in June, over 20,000 veterans who called themselves the “Bonus Army” (or the “Bonus Expeditionary Force”) marched to Washington, build camps around the city, and vowed to remain there until Congress approved legislation to pay the bonus.…

A king’s journey always has effects. Mansa Musa’s pilgrimage to Mecca effected both the economics and political views in Africa. For good and for bad, Musa intended to make the pilgrimage for him. Even though Mansa Musa thought he was making the journey for himself and his religion, it was more widely viewed as a celebration and praise for him and his kingdom through his generosity.…

Prior to the arrival of Europeans, the indigenous people of Australia practiced their own traditions, had their own social and economic system. Indigenous people are the holders of unique languages, knowledge systems and beliefs. One indigenous group of people is the Aborigines. Aborigines are Australia’s indigenous people that migrated from somewhere in Asia 30,000 years ago (Siasoco, 2007). The Aborigines’ strong spiritual beliefs tie them to the land (Siasoco, 2007).The aboriginal culture is full of storytelling and art. But like other indigenous people they also possess a difficult colonial history. Aborigines called the beginning of the world the “Dreaming” and/or “Dreamtime” (Siasoco, 2007).
