Baroque Art

Success for the Future I have grown as a global citizen by communicating ideas. In A.P. Euro I had to do a project called Baroque Art assigned by Mr. Dewaele and I had to find a piece of art during the Baroque Period (19th Century) to analyze the painting by looking at the emotions it had giving out in it and the feel for the painting/ style that was used to make me feel that way and why, as well as typing it up and presenting to the class about our piece we chose. Before the project, I wasn’t too sure about what the Baroque Period was like so I wasn't sure what to look for specifically in the paintings at the time. What helped me grow was looking at the art piece before I researched about it and after so I could understand what to look for to help me explain the piece, things I didn’t
Another thing that also helped me was looking at other different Baroque art pieces and looking up those pieces to understand how all the art was connected to Baroque classification which helped me understand what the 19th Century was about. The result of this project was me growing more familiar with the Baroque Period and getting to understand history a little better in that time period. It is important not only because it sharpens my presentation skills but also helps see how the 1600s to 1750s were like in 19th century Europe, Baroque art was used to describe the period in Western European art music from about 1600 to 1750, which gives me background information about that time period. The improved skill will help me in the future if I ever have an art analysis project because I learned a technique to help me analyze the painting by looking at the art piece before I research it to notice some things
