Baptist Church Visit
Christ the King Baptist Church, that’s the name of the church I recently attended, and although it was a lot different from my own catholic faith, I enjoyed it very much. There were a lot of people in this service; around 35 to 45 people were present. Everyone that was there was dressed semi-formal, casual clothes which were the same thing in the Catholic Church service.
The Pastor John McVicker started out the service with an opening prayer which led us into a psalm about America and how wonderful our country is. The prayers include pastoral intercession for global, regional and personal needs. After a few songs and a few prayers the Pastor got up to deliver his sermon or message. The theme of the service that day March 08, 2015 was “The God Centered Life” in Bible text Psalm 16:1 A miktam of David. He talked about the confession and everything that we got is from the lord. The pastor gave example about the real life situations that are related to what is in the Bible. The sermon it takes about thirty to forty five minutes that will end up two hours the whole service.
