Banning School Shootings
Many countries have a controversy whether they should ban guns or whether not to. In the United States they have not banned handguns completely like other countries. Can you just imagine how much peaceful things would be if they would ban them in the united states as well? Lately as you can see in the news there have been massive gun shootings in schools from all ages. How is it possible for just any one to get hold of a gun that easily? Some benefits to banning handgun would be there won't be so much gun violence, not everyone can get hold of a gun so easily, and the population or estimates of kids dying do to gun issues would drop massively.
Every day about 30 people either get shot or murdered by someone using a gun. In America approximately

There has been a huge rise of school shootings in the last few years. Just in single school year there was about 336 gunshots at a DC school district (“School Shootings”). How is that even possible that so much shootings can occur. There were also shootings in colleges and high schools. Most of this shootings occurring in schools are on the Eastern Coast. In a map shown on “School Shootings in America since 2013” you can see there is a higher rate on that side of the country than any of the others. Decreasing all these school shootings would have a huge impact on everyone. It would make every parent feel safe about sending their kids to school knowing that their kids will be okay and come home safe. In the article “Analysis of School Shootings” there was 160 in at least between 2013-2015. There were 84 shootings in K-12 and 76 in college or university settings. That was across 38 states in the United states. That is way too much and that was all over the U.S. a few more states and it would have been in every single state. There have been some school shootings that have really impacted not just families but the whole country. For example, the Sandy Hook shooting was one that had the biggest impact. That was one of the deadliest school shootings in history. We as a country have to work together to decrease all these fatal shootings killing innocent children. Banning guns would be the main source in decreasing school

When we drop our children off at school we expect them to be somewhere completely safe. In reality they may not be. For example, England has made guns illegal and their only purpose is to serve military officials, which is why England has the lowest death rate due to gun (Wilson 2007). If the United States were to do the same, mass school shootings would least likely happen. For instance, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that killed twenty-seven people probably would not have happened if we had gun laws. There are…

. I personally think, this will deter any violent, gun related incidents from occurring in the future. There could be safety precautions set in place to help this on its way, such as have signs on the schools that say “This School Has Armed Teachers” and keeping the holder of these guns completely…

The role guns play in our society has long been a controversial topic for the past few years in the united states. There are those who believe that guns do not belong in the hands of citizens and there are those who believe that guns are the foundation that protects our rights and liberties stated in the Constitution. There are too many leading factors as to why there should not be any stricter gun control laws. Some of these factors are that they go against our fundamental rights of self defense, give too much power to the government, and could potentially increase crime rates in the united states.…

A few things that to help prevent School Shootings but failed would be the zero tolerance policy. The zero tolerance policy is preventing drugs and weapons being brought onto school property. But many students get away with it because they bring weapons to school hidden in their backpacks without anyone noticing, then they cause a tragedy, “Schools are not safer, or more educational because of zero tolerance policies.”(Nick Gillespie 4). This policy doesn't change anything so why have this policy when no one notice who enters school with weapons. We need a stronger system to prevent this from happening.…

There is this massive debate on whether or not the U.S should carry gun laws. In my perspective, I believe that we should not allow guns, but I know many people would disagree. If we banned guns, it would limit the violence in our country. The news would stop saying so and so people dead. Everyone, including children and adults, would be safe and happy knowing that no gun would harm them.…

Gun control in the United States has become a highly controversial topic over the years. There have been plenty of debates on the gun control laws and people have taken to being either pro gun control laws or anti gun control laws. One thing we can’t deny would be that gun control laws would keep us all safer and even save lives. Statistic show that more guns equals to more homicide cases. If more citizens have easy access to guns, they’re more likely to kill than if they didn’t have easy access to the guns. Public places like schools, restaurants, and churches are not acceptable places for people to be carrying guns; it puts the public in danger. It should be illegal.…

The banning of firearms in America is an illegal act, and degrades the values this country was founded on. They not only play a vital role in many people's lives, but are useful tools, fun to use, and can protect people from harm. Our founding fathers wanted us to have them to protect ourselves from the government, and would be disgusted at our government's current abuse, and overall disregard of the constitution of the United States. A lot of people argue that guns kill people; this is untrue. Guns in the hands of a negligent person have potential to kill people, just as anything else.…

Guns do a lot of bad, but do a lot more good for society. Banning guns will not stop the problem, but will just make it worse. Guns are apart of our society as Americans they have been around since colonial years, and are not leaving anytime soon. “The number of guns in America has increased by more than 50 percent since 1993, and in that same period the gun homicide rate in the United States has dropped by half. (Kristof, The Times).” Guns offer protection for individuals. One day you could be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and a shooting breaks out, you will pray there is someone else there with a concealed firearm to help control the situation while waiting for police to arrive. They can’t do that if guns are banned. “We need to understand that we cannot stop crimes and murders. And banning guns would be a step, or two, backwards instead of moving forward in the right direction (The Times News).” The research conducted to produce this paper was drawn from a multitude of sources all with different…

As said in “Pro/Con: Gun Legislation”, “‘With just one exception, every public mass shooting in the USA since, at least 1950 has taken place where citizens are banned from carrying guns’” (Bito, Dana, Elisa Juliano). Even if one does not feel as safe with many people carrying firearms, they truly are safer. If gun laws are added, it will make it harder for law abiding citizens to obtain guns where as it will be just as easy as it had always been for the criminals to obtain guns illegally. As gun laws are tightened, less people that truly use a weapon for protection will be able to carry a pistol. When this happens, crooks will still be obtaining weapons through illegal ways such as the black market. The criminals would be more feared in the communities and would not be as afraid as before when committing a crime because the threat of anyone carrying a gun would no longer be…

The gun control laws do not solve the real problem which is the gun owner. Even if we have strict gun control laws that doesn’t mean the crime rates will go down or the school shooting will stop. If a criminal wants to kill someone they don’t have to have a gun to go through with it. It is just as easy to grab a knife or make a small bomb. Most criminals that want to shoot and murder people already have lengthy records and wouldn’t be able to pass a background check if they tried to purchase a gun legally. And even if the criminal does have a clean enough back ground to purchase a gun, one study reveals that most of them fear purchasing a gun legally because they know that it could be easily traced back to them. Instead the people we should be trying to stop are buying their guns on the black market. Most of the criminals that were interviewed during the study even distrusted so called internet sales on guns because they feared they were sting operations and they’d wind up trying to buy one from and ATF…

Picture sitting in school while people next to you possess guns. Though this may sound a bit farfetched, it can happen. Due to the second amendment of the Constitution, one has the right to bear arms. It is reasonable that people would want access to guns for the sport of hunting though. But allowing people to "carry" guns is reckless. Firearms should be outlawed because they have granted children access to kill easily, inflated the murder rate in the United States, were created to kill, and have inflated the murder rate in the United States.…

The United States has been a gun culture country since the day the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776. After many decades, gun ownership had rapidly increased, and many lives have been saved with a gun. An American citizen can legally purchase a handgun at age twenty-one and a rifle at the age of eighteen with a cleared background check by a licensed dealer. In recent months’ guns has become a very conversional topic because of all the incident happening around. For example, Orlando mass shooting, where 49 people died, and Dallas sniper shooting where 5 police officer died. Compared to early days USA have powerful police forces protecting its citizen. All the firearms should be banned because guns have already caused many deaths.…
