Band of mobile phones
Dear Mr Thomes I take this opportunity to introduce myself as ......... I am studying in Year ....I have been thinking for a while now about how we could win our school reputation back, how we could have our names in the papers again. Can you remember back in those days when we use to be in the first pages of the papers, it used to say “Top ten schools with the best uses of modern technology!” And our name used to be in the top three, but now we aren’t even in the top 50’s list.
And that is embarrassing for the school that used to be in the top 3.
If you still don’t know what I am talking about, I am talking about how band of mobile phones has destroyed our school’s reputation. Therefore, with due respect to the school’s rule, I would like to put forward my arguments why we should be allowed to carry the mobile phones to school.
First and the most important: not being able to call or receive our parents call in an emergency.
Last month, a boy was sitting in a science lesson when his mobile phone rang. The teacher was fuming and cursed the uses of ‘these modern toys.’ The phone was taken away from the boy and was confiscated. If only the teacher had waited a few valuable seconds. The boy was me and the text was; ‘meet me outside the school gate now. Your dad has had an accident. We are going to hospital quick! Love mum.’
Next, I thing with the help of mobile phone there would be no need of diary because most of them have calendar and note’s page.
Internet in phones for research for lessons such as science, history geography etc. this list of reasons can go on forever I think it will be enough to convince you. One small action like this can make a big difference to our school student and our schools reputation. That is why I am requesting you to let students carry their cell phones to school. As these are the opinions of a section of my class, I am sure if we do a survey there will be more like minded people around the whole school who would like

Restriction of bringing cell phones to school may be good, but it also causes resentment among parents and officials. In the first place, nowadays increasing numbers of parents are purchasing cell phones for their children. They want them to bring along their cell phones at any time, in order to know their whereabouts and enable their children to make contact with them in case of emergencies. Of equal importance, students occasionally must inform their parents or drivers if they have last minute school schedule changes or something has to be done after school hours. Furthermore, there’re only disadvantages to go against parents, and prohibiting cell phones can also lead to inconvenience for students.…

There is more than one side to the debate about cell phone availability during school. One claim is that students should be allowed to have their phones on them and use their cell phones during appropriate times. In the article, the authors provide details about how there are numerous reasons why cell phones should be allowed during school. Students should be allowed access to cell phones, because if they are responsible enough to be going off to college in a year or so, they should be responsible enough to have a cell phone on them and use it wisely (George and Cook). Another reason why cell phones should be allowed in school is because otherwise it can create a divide between the students and the teachers. Cell Phones shouldn't be aloud in schools because of all the bullying and harassment that goes on in the classroom. They could use their cellular devices for cheating on worksheets, quizzes, and tests. Students can take pictures of other students without their permission and post them on social media accounts like Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc. But Cell Phones should be aloud in school because they can take their homework home and be able to find their assignments easier. When New York City installed metal detectors in random schools, over 800 phones were taken away from students (important idea # 2). Scaccia says the distraction that phones provide is one reason students fail at the end of the term (important idea # 3). Parents want their children to be allowed to keep the phones to use in an emergency (important idea # 4). But Scaccia, a teacher, says that safety concerns are not reason enough to allow them in classrooms, since students are mostly not using them to contact their parents anyway (important idea # 5). On the one hand, I agree with Scaccia that cell phones are mostly a distraction in the classroom. On the other hand, we live in dangerous times, and I do think the parents have a point that cell phones are necessary in an emergency (Thesis mentioning the two important ideas that the author plans to discuss in their body…

As the government’s team, my teammates and I strongly support the motion that schools should ban the use of mobile phone among students. Nowadays, these long-range, electronic devices are equipped with many additional services and accessories. Short Messaging Service, or more likely known as SMS, email, gaming, Bluetooth, camera with video recorder and MMS for sending and receiving photos and video, MP3 player, radio and GPS are some of the examples. Students tend to overuse these features of the mobile phone, and thus, resulting in the many social problems that we have today.…

As humans, our minds have always been trained for survival, we cried for our mothers whenever we needed anything because our inept bodies were not capable enough to take care of ourselves. But, instead of figuring out why we’re in distress when we cried our eyes out, parents are now leaving us with a phone to be the parent to deal with our issues as a distraction. This is how we’ve adapted to turning to our phones whenever there’s an issue. From birth we’ve learned how to be faster, smarter, and stronger. Though we are getting much smarter, we no longer need to be faster and stronger with how much the world has changed on us, this will be our greatest mistake. Past generations had it far easier than our own, when parents dedicated their lives to…

The school systems in America today are riddled with violence. If students' didn’t have technology such as phones they would not be able to contact their parents in a state of emergency such as shootings, injures, or bombings. this policy of taking students' phones away at the start of the day and giving them back at the end of the day should not be put into effect. The policy could possibly cause students to be put into harmful situations for longer periods of time.…

Nowadays, mobile phones have the ability to surf the internet, in other words it’s a metal thing that disrupts you from working. If students are allowed to bring mobile phones, they would not focus on what the teacher is trying to say but will focus on the less important things in their phone.
