Balbir Search Letter
I am contacting you from Hitchin in England UK. I am searching for my brother Balbir Singh Chana. We are originally from Banga, Nawanshar, Punjab, India. His date of birth is documented as 14/06/1955. In January 1980 I married & moved to England and later in the 80's Balbir left India to live in New Jersey, USA. Balbir worked (poorly paid) in the textile industry – the owners arranged his (basic) accommodation - but his address/contact telephone number changed frequently. I too have moved and hence my contact details have changed.
In September 1992 Balbir visited England and attended our cousins wedding. His ex-employers told me he was having a difficult time: drinking heavily and was living rough. I believe they have passed my messages to Balbir to contact me – but he didn’t. Balbir kept in touch until about 1995. Around then he distanced himself from all the people he knew and I have been unable to get in touch with him.
Last year I have been in touch with Balbir’s ex-landlords who bumped into him in New Jersey about 7-8 years ago. Balbir told them that he is now living in Chicago. They tell me Balbir has recovered from his drink problem and has grown his hair and wears a turban – observing our Sikh religion. I have written to the Sikh Temples (Gurdwara’s) in Chicago in the hope that someone there knows Balbir’s whereabouts. I have also sent copies of a photo of Balbir taken in 1994. Although he is clean shaven on this photo – the most distinctive identification is the tattoo (a Sikh symbol) on the back of his right hand. This is very clearly visible on this photo. I can e-mail this photo to you if you feel you can help me with my search.
My recent enquiries located the following address and phone no: 2175 Valencia Drive, Northbrook, Illinois 60062-7016. Tel 847 480 0125. I rang this number last year and the call was answered by an angry lady because it was 5.30 in the morning! However before hanging up on me she told me that '...he hasn't been living here

Riverside police detective Kevin Townsend decided to conduct a probation search on George Roussell’s home. The detective was having a very time trying to figure out where the Roussell lived. The probation agency said that Roussell lived in Moreno Valley, but the court system said that he lived in Corona. Roussells DMV address was on a Gould street in Riverside, but all his recent information like the local utilities and phone company showed that he was living at 8123 Magnolia Avn. Apt. 85 in Riverside. Detective Townsend made the decision that the Magnolia apartments had to be his current residents because of the utility bills. He also believed that was his home because most probationers and parolees give false addresses so that they can avoid warren less arrest. Most probationers and parolees don’t know that the police have access to there utility bills. Police use there utility bills so that they can track the criminals down and find out where they live.…

In Martin Luther King Jr.’s "Letter from Birmingham Jail," He’s responding to a statement made by clergymen in Alabama about his dealings in Birmingham, Alabama. In this letter King uses rational ideas, moral values, and emotion to establish to the clergymen as well as the "white moderate" why civil rights should be granted to African Americans. In his letter King uses powerful literary tools that strongly match his views. He uses similes to help the audience understand not only the historical foundation of why segregation is immoral, but the awful emotional effects that segregation and discrimination has on the African American people who are experiencing it. King uses realistic imagery to give the reader an idea about how segregation harms a person’s character. Baba Gurbachan Singh was born on December 10, 1930 in Peshawar, now in Pakistan. He received boundless love and affection from his parents. Baba Avtar Singh and Jagat Mata Budhwanti as also from the True Master, Baba Buta Singh, then residing with the family. Right from his infancy, the child Gurbachan manifested rare and remarkable qualities. These qualities comprised sensitiveness to human sorrow and suffering, sympathy for the afflicted, avoidance of all disputes and discords and malice as also appreciation of fine traits in others. All this could well be corroborated by numerous instances of his childhood. On return from school, when he received from his usual pocket money, he would persuade him to oblige his companions as well. Thus, his mind was free from the sense of duality and discrimination. While messing together, his friends would quickly grab all dainty dishes, leaving this simple child rather hungry at times. On inquiry by the mother, he would, however, never complain but simply smile. His generous disposition would not permit him to malign anyone. Unlike the common run of boys, he would never make any demand. On the contrary, he enjoyed sharing things with others. CHILDHOOD Gurbachan was a shining student. After doing his Middle from Peshawar, he ‘matriculated’ from the Khalsa School, Rawalpindi, He could not pursue his studies further, because of the turmoil following the Partition of India. He, However, acquired rich and rare experience of practical life by his wisdom and intelligence. Like savants and great men, he would think more and speak less. PARTITION During the turbulent days preceding the Partition, everybody wished to be relieved of his pressing parental responsibilities speedily. Accordingly, on April 22, 1947, Bhai Manna Singh solemnized the marriage of his daughter, Kulwant Kaur, with Gurbachan Singh at a simple ceremony. Kulwant kaur who subsequently became popular as Nirankari Rajmata, marched shoulder to shoulder…
