luke was angered and frustrated with the girl's disappearance, and decided that it was time for him to seriously take the matters into his own hands.

he pulled his laptop out of its bag, and began to do his own research on badlands.

he stopped when he noticed a familiar face at the desk, in the same situation he was three days ago.

"you're in room 94," the woman stated, threw the keys back, and still refused to show her face.

"you." luke sneered.

he came face to face with the blue haired girl that had been driving him mad.

"um excuse me?" she stuttered.

"where the fuck did you go earlier." luke hissed.

the girl looked into his eyes with a confused look, and tried to walk past him.

luke blocked her path with his long arms, and whispered into her ear.

"you better fucking explain yourself."

the girl now looked annoyed, and replied back with anger laced in her voice, "i don't fucking know who you are. get out of my way."

"are you kidding me? yesterday night you dragged me to my hotel room, and i turned my back for a second and you weren't even there!"

"that never happened. i have no clue who you are you stupid breadstick boy."

he scoffed at her response and got out of her way.

"this isn't over you realize that, right? i'm gonna figure out who you are. you'll be screwed!" he

"would you like a mint, sir?" the lady spoke from the desk.

she motioned behind her, where a bowl of delicately wrapped mints were placed.

luke quickly grabbed one, and put it into his pocket.

"thanks." he mumbled before walking out of the badlands hotel.

for a while, luke mindlessly wandered around the hotel, going in circles.

he looked out at the landscape in front him, wondering how high up he was.

luke also wondered if falling off would kill him.

he peered down from the top, his heart thumping in his ears.

luke didn't enjoy heights all that much.

"it's pretty, right?" a voice spoke from behind him.

he was startled by it, which resulted in him jumped in place. it also almost caused luke to fall off the the cliff.

luke faced the girl from earlier, and watched her stare at the sunset.

"yeah i guess."

she scoffed and replied, "you guess? this is the most beautiful thing in this goddamn place."

"the city is nice."

"no it's not. it smells like cigarette smoke and fine alcohol."

luke shrugged and answered, "that's not exactly a bad
