Bullying Report
Bullying has become an ongoing issue due to the lack of knowledge on it or the lack of care for the situation. Bullying can lead to many different things such as physical injury, social problems, emotional problems, and even death. It has become a very high risk situation inside children and adolescent age group. With bullying being such a high risk matter studying it will only help understand and find a solution to the issue at hand, which is to help save lives and protect are youth. These children start to believe they are less of a person or doubt their self. It can follow them long into adulthood and cause havoc on all their future relationship. In worst case scenarios children who are bullied can become suicidal, homicidal, or bullies themselves later in life. Families are also affected by bullying especially when their child is the victim. Three patterns or styles of parenting associated with the development of bullying are intrusive-overprotecting parenting, parental psychological over control, and parental coercion (Perry et al., 2001).We need to stop the cycle early on and by doing that it starts here in our schools. Counselor, teachers, and parents need to have talks with the children and give them advice and understanding how to stop and avoid bullying. Explain walking away from a bully and standing up to them as well. Maintaining a strong sense of self and good overall self-esteem and building your self esteem are other ways to prevent children from becoming a
