Aysha King Persuasive Speech
What Happened to Aysha King?

We are here today with Ashya King Parents, Brett and Naghmeh King to talk about what happened. First, I would like to thank you for coming in today. On the 29th August, 2014, Mr and Mrs King took their son from Southampton hospital without letting any doctors knowing. They took him and brought him to Paris even though they knew the son was in a critical condition. Why would they take such risk?
The kings stated that doctors had threatened them, if they continued to ask anymore question about their son illness. To be fair, they have the right to do so because it’s their child. Why do you think the doctors threatened you? I don’t know! I started to ask them about the illness, then straight away they said if I asked anymore questions, my rights will be taken away from me. We only wanted to know what’s going on with our son situation. I don’t think that is fair on us, because we are his parents. We are allowed to know what is

When doctors found out that Aysha was missing, they immediately sent out a search warrant all over the world and insist that the kings return to the UK so that Aysha can be treated for his condition. When the kings heard that a search warrant had been sent out. They began to go in hiding, because they feared what might happened to their precious son.
After been called out by local authorities, the kings decided that it’s time for them to stop running and just face what’s to come. The kings got arrested in a Spanish prison where they spent three nights and was banned from seeing their own son. The kings also stated that they were treated like terrorists, when they were only trying to help their son. In situation like these, you cannot do anything because, you were told not to take the child from the hospital but you did. I have no personal knowledge of what happened there but in cases like this, you are not a doctor and anything could’ve happened to

I absolutely had to use a photo of Princess Diana because I was a huge fan of hers. I remember watching her wedding on television when I was a young child, and I cried like a baby when she met her untimely demise. I don't recall every crying like that when a celebrity died, but she was my heroine and I loved her! Since then I've kept up with the ins and outs of the Royal Family and the shenanigans of Prince Harry, my now favorite Prince. He is a Princess Diana reincarnated in the male form. Lives by his own rules and with not a care in the world. Madison and I were able to visit the Madame Tussauds London museum while on our trip to London just recently, thanks to the kind folks of Merlin Entertainment. Since this is most likely the only way we'll ever get to the meet the Royal Family we just had to do it. Now if you're thinking all wax museums are the same, well Madame Tussauds London is on a whole new level of awesome. I've…

The first anyone heard or saw anything associated with the Madeleine case was on the British and Portuguese news, who were reporting that a young girl had gone missing from a family villa without an apparent trace. Rewards were offered by numerous wealthy celebrities and the Sun newspaper for the safe return, or any information regarding her disappearance. The people of Dewsbury Moor however, who had also months previously heard and witnessed the whole media circus surrounding the McCann case were now themselves faced with a missing child and the circumstances being reported, were that on her way home from after a school swimming class the little girl had just simply vanished.…

Paul Starr (The Social Transformation of American Medicine [Library of Congress Cataloging in Public Data, 1982], pp. 14-15) describes medical paternalism, as fulfilling an authoritative role to make judgments on the needs of clients. In the case of Henrietta Lacks, this form of paternalism transformed into a violation of her health; Henrietta told her doctors several times that she believed her cancer was spreading, but they found nothing wrong with her. Henrietta returned to John Hopkins three months after her delivery, complaining of a knot in her womb, but her doctors had not noted anything about a tumor during her delivery, or her 6-week visit. It seems unlikely her doctors missed it; they chose not to tell her. In her medical records, there is no indication she questioned her doctors. She was susceptible, as most patients were at this time, to what Skloot describes as “benevolent deception”. This was when doctors would withhold vital information from their patients. This was done to prevent patients from being hurt or confused with unfamiliar terms. In this era of medical paternalism, it was believed that doctors knew what was best, and to question them in any way was to gamble with your own…

Lately there have been a lot of break-ins and armed robberies in Jimboomba by ‘teenagers’. They’ve been demanding money from store clerks, some with knifes, baseball bats, and anything in between. To be honest I do not find the joy in doing such a thing, I believe that if you work hard enough to earn a living you will feel as if you have done well in this life and honestly I wouldn’t feel good knowing I have someone else’s hard earned money all to myself. I know that some of the crimes committed aren’t so bad, but the teens should be punished to learn from their mistakes, I believe that by doing so it will cause the community to feel safer and engage the government to make Jimboomba a better place to live.…

Wendy Davis “kick-started” her campaign by standing in a court room for 11 hours straight talking about putting a ban on abortion after 20 weeks. The exception Davis advocated for would be more broad than the abortion law in Texas today. Allowing women to abort for a bigger range of medical issues, including a wider range of fetal abnormalities. “Texas only allowing post-20-week abortions in the case of fetal abnormality with "severe, irreversible brain impairment" and threats to a woman's life.” (Amanda Marcotte, Wendy Davis, Hero to the Pro-Choice Movement) During Davis’ 11-hour filibuster, many people stayed to the very last minute.…
