Ayn Rand's The Call Of The Wild
"The Call of the Wild is a classic in American literature that always reminds me of my days as a student. I have revisited this book at least twice since my childhood and now it resurfaces again as my children begin the same journey I did.

The book although told via the dog, is a compelling story of humanity. The trials and tribulations that the lead dog Buck suffers lead you on a roller coaster of emotions. You truly connect with the narrator and can relate to his many twists and turns.

Buck is a strong lead character, be it dog or otherwise. He has strong morals and is a great role model for young children. (Defying the sled leader in an attempt to save his team, saving his owners life, etc...)

This book is highly recommended
