Awe...I'm glad. And the only burden is what you put on yourself. You are no burden to me whatsoever! I may not suffer from anxiety per se, but I have a slew of other hang ups and issues that make it so I can totally empathize. It's funny how mood can make one perceive things. In my first email I was trying to be super reassuring. I would not want to make you feel worse. But I know what it's like to be in a bad head space where nothing seems to make things better. I am also not going anywhere so get that out of your head.

    She'd lay in bed at night, reading, just to take her mind off her pounding heart. Not long after my fiancé and I were living together, he ordered Lucinda Bassett's Attacking Anxiety and Depression CD set for me. At first, he thought it would be a waste of money. But, he saw how I was suffering and got it for me. I am so thankful he did. I couldn't afford it and needed her help so badly. The program is fabulous, and I'm going to give it a listen again. I know it's been years, but life is full of change and sometimes, when things feel a bit out of sync, some guidance and reinforcement is needed. If my gut tells me it's time to listen to her program again, (and it's telling me that right now), it's time to do it. Go with your gut. Talk out your anxiety with someone who will listen and can guide you. I did. I met with a counselor for over a year. At first, I thought I was going because I couldn't deal with my divorce. Well, as it turned out, there were many issues that needed to be brought to the table: the loss of sight in my left eye; my miscarriage; my divorce; my struggle to eat, drive, do things socially without forcing myself to do so.     PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion.
