Imagine your morning commute in the comfort of a driver-less car. Instead of worrying about traffic, hitting every red light, and car accidents, you could work on the presentation that you forgot to do the night before or maybe take a nice nap. Autonomous cars offer significant benefits to today’s society: the technology’s safety benefits, mobility for everyone, and increased efficiency. Approximately 1.2 million people die worldwide due to road traffic accidents while ninety percent of those accidents are a result of human error. Unlike humans, robotic cars do not get distracted by texting or fatigue; they can monitor their full surroundings without losing focus.
