Austin Carlile Research Paper
Dressed in black skinny jeans with a rip at both knees, a black t-shirt that reads Create Music and is cut down the sides, black high tops, and covered in tattoos. That would be the normal outfit Austin Carlile wears my inspirations the most important person to me. Austin’s appearance might make people think wrong of him, but the music he makes and what he says can change your mind in a split second, and how he inspires people is another reason why he is so important to me.
Austin Carlile stands at six feet four inches with brown hair that is shaved on the sides and always wearing a goofy grin. He is covered in tattoos but all his tattoos have meaning which I love. He always wears skinny jeans and all black converse shoes whether they be low tops or high tops and band merch (slipknot mostly). He also wears a beanie but not really often. He looks exactly like Mitch Lucker.

He is the lead singer in the band Of Mice & Men which is in the genre of Post Hardcore. My favorite quote by him is "You have many options in life, never make giving up one of them", because it is true, life won’t put you through anything you can’t handle and it might not be okay now but it will. He is probably more of an inspiration to me than Marilyn Monroe is to a typical white girl. He can make anyone happy in a split second with his goofy grin, and the positive life he lives is just amazing. Because he went through a lot of hard times but you couldn’t tell because of how happy is

Jimi Hendrix will always be known for his remarkable ability to play the electric guitar, but one of his characteristics that didn’t go unnoticed was his extravagant image. Hendrix was well known for his unique style and sense of fashion. He gave a completely new meaning to the rock and roll style in the 1960’s, giving a sharp and glamorous edge to it. His 60’s signature pieces such as bell bottoms, vests, scarves, rings and pins that often acknowledged his support of the hippie movement matched perfectly with the jackets he wore. Hendrix sported all kinds of vintage jackets ranging from red and blue velvet suits, psychedelic patterned silk suits, to the military dress jackets that often times raised controversy. In the biopic, Jimi: All Is By My Side, director by John Ridley captures a scene inspired by true events of Hendrix’s encounter with English police officers in London. The event began when the policemen stopped Hendrix for wearing an 1898 Royal Veterinary Corps jacket which…

When I first met him, I knew that he was someone I wanted to be around as much as possible. He was so vibrant, and always laughing. I remember one of our first gigs. Before we went on, he told me, “Just be yourself and try to make the crowd happy. All you have to do is wear some tight pants and the female fans will be fighting for autographs”, he said as he pulled out a pair of purple spandex pants. I instantaneously blushed and said, “No way, that’s your thing”. He then told me that I just needed to live a little, and from that point on, I did.…

This is my project on Austin Carlile. It was to show how he inspires me, etc and this is my visual part of it.This is the speech i had to present to the class:“You have many options in life, Never make giving up one of them.” – Austin Robert Carlile. This man is an inspiration to millions. He has saved and changed thousands of lives, And I am among them. To any of mice and men fan, the ampersand is more than just a symbol.“The same kid, the first day of 10th grade, who stole my backpack, unzipped it, threw all my books in the snow, trashed them all. Then later met me in the P.E Locker room during 4th period, literally beat me up. Smashed my head on the toilet, Broke 2 ribs - Came to Vans Warped Tour in Denver, 2012, And I saw him in the crowd, Looking up at me on stage. And I later found out through family members that he has 2 kids, And didn’t go to college, Lives in the same town, And didn’t really do anything with his life.”The fact that Austin has been through many of the same things that some kids go through everyday, and has over come them, is one of the many reasons tons of people look up to him. When he was 17 his mother died on the corner of 2nd Street & Sebring Court, In LeHigh Acres, FL. His mother was his hero, and it caused him so much pain, but did that stop him? No. He wrote a song “Second & Sebring” Which he made in honor of his mom.”I got a call from my mom and I couldn’t take the call because I was working, She left me a voicemail, then two hours later my grandma called me crying, saying, ’ something happened to your mum.. go to the hospital.’ “I was freaking out. One of the ladies drove me because they didn’t want me driving because I was so scared, and as soon as I got to the hospital there was an ambulance pulling in and they pulled my mom off and that was the last time I saw her.”Some get the lyrics to this song tattooed on them in an ampersand form.As he was 20 he created a band called “Attack Attack” & made an album with them, Then later…
