Audience Analysis
Communication is one of the most important skills that an individual can possess when presenting to a group of people. The audience should always be focal point of the presenter as communication is an important foundation and can often determine the success or failure of a message being received. When communication is done properly it can build respect and trust between groups and help identity the issues at hand. The presenter must have a good understanding of the audience's culture in order to effectively communicate with the group.

In this assignment I have been asked to present quarterly sales information in an in-person meeting to a group of stakeholders that includes managers, salespeople, and customers. I have been asked to answer a number of different questions before I present my information to the audience. The following questions will be answered in this paper.

1.What are audience characteristics you need to consider?2.What communication channels would be appropriate and why?3.What are some considerations that you must keep in mind given the diversity of the audience?4.What would you do to ensure that your message is effective?Before you can prepare a presentation you must consider the characteristics of your audience. I know that my audience consists of managers, salespeople, and customers of this particular organization. Because I have identified my audience I now have a better understanding of the audience's knowledge of the subject. I also understand their interest in the subject; I understand that the different groups of individuals may only be interested in certain results of the quarterly sales information that is being presented. Managers and salespeople may have different subject knowledge than the customers. I will needs to address the different needs of all parties in attendance. I will have to customize certain parts of my presentation in order to address the specific needs of each group within the audience. I will also need to understand

    The video with Steve Jobs introducing the “First Ever iPod” was incredible. When viewing the video presentation the audience demographics as in age and socio-cultural background, I felt geared towards the age demographic and socio-cultural background that is known to be the Y generation overall; but markets the iPod to all ages and cultural backgrounds. The Y generation is any person that is born after the year 1983. [1] Generation Y was the first to grow up with computers in their homes and they used technology at higher rates than people from other generations. In Steve Jobs presentation he went back to the start of the CD player, then proceeded to explain the other music options that were available. Generation Y has been through all of the music options he discussed, since they were the generation to want all of that new technology at the time it became available.     For my audience analysis I decided to conduct a survey and research statistics on the topic of recycling for people in my class. The survey I conducted included 13 class members. The results of this survey were as follows: 61.54% of my classmate are male, 46.15% of all my classmates do recycle once in a while, 75.00% of them believes that recycling preserves our resources and protects wildlife, 62.50% of them don’t recycle because they think that it is too hard to do it, 5 out of 13 of my classmates if they have the opportunity to recycle they mostly recycles bottles, 61.54% of my classmates believes that people need to be more educated in the subject of recycling, 100.00% of my classmates would make the effort to recycle if recycling container were more available, and finally 3 out of 8 students thinks that if they get a return for every item they recycle they would be more interesting in recycling.     How do we get people to come to the theatre in an era of instant gratification? Movies are simply available all the time.
