How Careless Accidents Can Be Avoided?
Intro:
Careless accidents can be avoided in many ways, I will specifically be explaining on how we can avoid car accidents on our roads. Through the past years to present, our death rates on car accidents are at an alarming rate. The three main causes of car accidents are over speeding, poor road conditions and the use of cell phones while driving.
Body:
Many a time drivers don’t take into consideration about their speed limit. They tend to speed ignorantly on the roads not following the speed limit. In this case they are basically over speeding on the road not only putting themselves at risk but also the passengers and the pedestrians. Thus, in many cases over speeding leads to careless accidents that also leads to deaths on our roads.
Kings road has been recently opened with new tasseled road and road signs. However, due to the changing in weather it adds to the destruction of our roads. Heavy rain after a hot day creates pot holes on our roads and it takes ages to be fixed. Many a time drivers try to dodge pot holes not being considerate of coming vehicles. In some cases, they’re too late to get back in their right lane causing careless accidents on our roads. Thus, pot holes and sometimes the lack of proper road signs are additional factors to road accidents.
Cell phones and latest gadgets are also additional factors to road accidents. Many carry their cell or mobile phones almost everywhere with them; it’s like a part of them. Thus, in most cases people drive and use their phone at the same time. It is very dangerous to do this as we need our full concentration on the road while driving. Many think it won’t hurt to talk and drive at the same time, but many have lost the wheel while talking and driving at the same time. This is because half the concentration is on the road and half concentration on the phone. Therefore, in we need to consider giving our full concentration while driving to avoid car accidents.

One of the most popular innovations in automotive travel in the past decade has nothing to do with the automobile itself, the people who drive them, or the roads over which they operate. Rather, it is the ability to carry on telephone conversations while driving. In today’s society, our technology is more advanced than ever before. Text messaging, like most modern technological devices, has its benefits and drawbacks. One of the most dangerous drawbacks is when people combine text messaging with driving in an automobile. In our society, we’ve all become attached to our cell phones. Cell phones make our lives easier in many ways. For instance, we can check our email, receive phone calls, send text messages,…

In today’s society most of us have become very attached to our cell phones. They have become a very large part of our lives because they simplify communication, and they help us with everyday tasks. However, when used while driving in a car, cell phones can become very dangerous or even deadly by distracting drivers from the road. Using a cell phone while driving can include talking, texting, or navigating through a smartphone app. In fact, using your cellphone is so dangerous that last year there were 3,328 deaths caused by cell phone related automobile accidents (“Facts and Statistics on Distracted Driving”). Cell phone use should be restricted while driving by raising awareness of the dangers, creating laws that restrict cell phone use, implementing technology in cars to remind or restrict drivers of cell phone usage while driving, and by motivating new drivers to sign a pledge to put the phone down while driving.…

Experts state that the major causes of car accidents are driver distractions. Dangerous distractions that can lead to an accident include cell phones and other gadgets that drivers use as they drive. Cell phones, laptops, electric razors, etc. causes drivers to take their eyes off the road for seconds at a time with the potential to cause a serious, if not deadly, accident. In response to this, some states in the US have banned the use of hand-held cell phones while people are driving. The alternative is to use a hands free ear bud that is lightweight and comfortable, and allows a driver to carry on a conversation without diversions.…

Texting is an addiction for millions of Americans. There are an estimated 270 million people with cell phones and 254 million registered drivers in the United States (“Ban Cell Phoning” 8). Because of this prevalence, questions are arising on how dangerous it is to operate a car with a cell phone at the same time. As soon as a cell phone vibrates, people rush to answer to the incoming text or call fearing if they wait they may miss out on something. But doing either while driving is obviously very dangerous. This divides one’s attention between two activities. It’s almost impossible to do with at being a risk of causing an accident.…

“Motor vehicle crashes are the number one cause of death in the United States for 3 to 34 year olds. Crashes are among the top three causes of death throughout a person’s lifetime. They also are the number one cause of work-related death. Annually, more U.S. soldiers are killed in crashes in privately-owned vehicles than all other Army ground accidents combined” (National Safety Council, 2010) Distracted drivers using cell phones cause about 2,600 traffic fatalities and 330,000 accidents every year (Richtel, 2009). Many drivers talk, text, and respond to their e-mails while trying to drive. People that use cell phone while driving are not aware of their surroundings. Many drivers have swerved into other lanes, run red lights, or had close calls due to using a cell phone while driving. Motor vehicle crashes often occur at intersections because these are the locations where two or more roads cross each other and activities such as turning left, crossing over, and turning right have the potential for conflicts resulting in crashes. Many studies show that drivers, who are using cell phones, are four times as likely to cause an accident as other drivers who are…
