Atticus As A Hero
“A hero is an ordinary person who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles”(Christopher Reeve). Heroes can be teachers, doctors, construction workers and like Atticus Finch, lawyers. These everyday heroes may not go with the crowd but they always do what is right. In Harper Lee's, To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus is portrayed as a brave and caring hero through Lee's use of various characterization techniques such as dialogue, imagery and details.
