Attentive Group Leadership Skills
I agree with group leaders being present, attentive and optimistic to aid in moving the group process to the working stage. Mediocre group leadership skills will not suffice during this or any stage. As members display behaviors, such as anxiety and reluctance, leaders must display efficiency and strength in skill and technique. Naturally, it’s not difficult nor illogical to apply a negative outcome on the ineffective counselor. Yet, it becomes more complex when applying this argument to the effective, attentive, present, phenomenological group leader.

Focus on the effective counselor; the one with the professionalism, characteristics, and skills is relevant. The relevance lies in the fact that this type of group leader has the competency

    Working with others to achieve same goals is a challenging process. As an individual within a group of people, you need to make sure that you are using the best of them and avoiding their weaknesses.
