Athletes Role Models Research Paper
Although athletes are idolised by young people in all sports, should we be looking in different directions for our heroes? The definition of a role model is a person whose behaviour or success is or can be emulated by others, especially by young people. A lot of athletes personal lives are not able to be seen by the public. Many athletes have hidden secrets that they would prefer the general public not to know about. Behind the scenes most athletes aren't the perfect hero for kids, they have poor morals and values, use illegal substances and their life after sport is genuinely not too good either.

A role model in sport should have great morals and values such as being confident, hard working, respectful and competitive. These days our athletes
