My initial thoughts about going having to go to the zoo for this project was that it was going to be challenging yet fun, Challenging in the sense that with my post traumatic stress disorder from the military because I have trouble being around crowds of people which is why I supposed that is why I chose to go to the Santa Ana zoo since I knew that there would be less people there, Fun in the sense that I have not been to a zoo since I was a little kid which made me excited to not only see the primate exhibit for this project but to also check out some of the other animals that were at the zoo.…

On Wednesday September 16th of 2015, I will be going to the Smithsonian National Zoo with a group of my friends. The Zoo was founded in 1889. It is one of the oldest zoos in the world. There are 1800 animals that live in the zoo. One of the most famous spots in the zoo for tourists to see is the Giant Panda exhibit. The giant pandas recently just gave birth to baby pandas. I have only been to the Smithsonian National Zoo once. I went in eighth grade for a school wide field trip. I love seeing animals and going to the zoo. Back where I am from (Delaware) there are not any zoos or big public attractions for young kids and teenagers.…

My profile piece will be based on The Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary. So what they do there is change wastewater treatments there. So basically they change the waste water into a living eco system. They have multiple uses like wildlife habitats, education and research. In the wildlife habitats many people go bird watching there are other insects, ducks, and other animals. The reason I choose the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary I love that they are helping the environment. Also I saw that there are many animals there and I wanted something that had to with nature and helping the environment. Im mainly focusing on the marsh on the way it helps the environment and the way it helps animals as well. Lastly, this place is a huge part of…

My mother had found a zoo online that was located in our city and decided that it would be fun to check it out. I had my doubts since I had always trusted well-known zoos such as the San Diego Zoo, but in the end I too decided it would be worth looking into. It was Saturday noon, when my mom, dad, and I left for the zoo. When we were halfway there we came upon a bumpy road scattered with rocks. My father told us that it was used in winter to keep the cars from slipping on the icy road. But I could only think of one thing at that moment, the immense headache which the constant bumping on the road brought me. I complained that we should’ve gone to the Humane Society. It was right near the house and there wasn’t a bumpy road we had to cross when…

The dog ate my homework, my notes and my computer. One might think this is a lame excuse that students only give teacher, or one might think that, because this happened to you, the dog is just bad and mischievous. But let 's get to the root cause of this problem, when was the last time the dog ran and played until it couldn 't anymore? The answer to this question is probably a long a time. If the answer though is just yesterday, or earlier today, then you probably wouldn 't know anything about the dog eating your notes, homework…. or computer. An exercised dog is more behaved than the stove up in an apartment dog because he has used all the energy that he should have been able to use. A dog park is an ideal place for this energy to be spent. This allows the student to study without as great a fear of the aforementioned, not that it will prevent it, but if the dog is well exercised it is more well behaved.…
