1. Guidelines for writing the assignment
Note: Send ONLY a soft copy to omer197435@gmail.com
1. The assignment is an individual task.
2. Select any topic that should be related to lexicology or lexicography.
3. You MUST collect content/information on the topic you selected from not less than
FOUR books as your references. You may refer to research articles or websites too. 4. Write an essay/argument of 1000-1500 words on the topic you selected. Your writing should reflect that you have read on this topic and synthesized information.
5. Copy and paste strategy should be avoided as this will lead to plagiarism.
6. It is recommended that the body of the assignment is divided into subsections (Refer to step 3 in the table below).
7. The assignment MUST include the SIX sections given in the table below:

3. Introduction (the purpose(s) of writing the essay/argument)
4. Body of the assignment (Divided into sub-sections) 5. Conclusion (summing up)
6. References (APA style)

150-200 words
650-1000 words
150-250 words
Not included in word count.

Pages should be numbered with
Arabic numerals.
Numbers of pages should be at the bottom centre.

Sections
(Total words: 1000-1500 words)

Instructions on the format
1. The soft copy should be in Microsoft word in one SINGLE file.
2. The file name should include the student’s number as given in the attached list and his/her name. Examples are 12Chaida and 69Zul.
3. The subject of the email that includes the soft copy of the assignment should include
(1) the student’s number as given in the attached list, (2) his/her name,
