Hair Dryer
A hair dryer is an electrical appliance which many people keep in their bedrooms or bathrooms. It is used to quickly dry your hair after you’ve washed it. It uses a fan to draw in air from the rear and blow it out the front as hot air. It has the size and shape of a long jar with a handle attached to its underside and an electrical cord attached to the bottom end of the handle. The other end of the electrical cord plugs into the wall. Hairdryers come in many different colors but this particular one is black and shiny. Figure 1. Hair Dryer
Body
The body is located at the top of the hair dryer, is made of black plastic, and is shaped somewhat like a narrow jar. It is also about the size of a jar. The body houses the fan and heating elements and has a back where the air comes in, and the mouth where the air comes out. The outside of the body has the words “BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium” stamped on the side in white and red letters towards the mouth of the hair dryer. The word Bambino is also stamped in white letters on the side towards the rear of the hair dryer.

It can fold up against the body to make it easier to put away. The handle is also black plastic but it tapers down to a narrower end and has grooves so that a hand can more easily hold it. A flexible rubber attachment is located at the bottom of the handle and is attached to the electrical cord. This rubber attachment is designed so it can easily bend when you move the hair dryer in different directions as you dry your hair.

The Earth’s largest phylum is Arthropoda, including centipedes, millipedes, crustaceans, and insects. Insects are the largest and most successful class of animals on Earth. This success, zoologists believe, is attributed from certain biological traits such as their small size or ability to fly for some (Postlethwait & Hopson, 2010). The exoskeleton of most insects supports them inside but also protects them from outside. John Meyer, professor at NCSU, explains as a "suit of armor", the exoskeleton can resist both physical and chemical attack (2007). He also covers how their small size allows them to hide, flight allows them to escape, high fertility and high fecundity allows for a large reproductive potential, metamorphosis promotes survival, and their ability to adapt easily (2007). All these characteristics listed above amongst several others are the reason why insects are the most successful animals on earth.…

In 1909, Morgan opened a tailoring shop, selling coats, suits and dresses. While working in this shop he came upon a discovery which brought about his first invention. He noticed that the needle of a sewing machine moved with such a high speed that often its friction would scorch the thread of woolen materials. He then set out to develop a liquid that would be a useful polish to the needle, reducing friction. Once, when his wife called him to dinner, he wiped the liquid from his hands onto a piece of pony-fur cloth. When he returned to his workshop, he saw that the fibers on the cloth were now standing straight. He conceived that the fluid had actually straightened the fibers. In order to confirm his theory, he decided to apply some of the fluid to the hair of a neighbor's dog. The fluid straightened the dog's hair so much, that the neighbor, not recognizing his own pet, chased the animal away. Morgan then decided try the fluid on himself, trying small portions of his hair at first, and eventually his entire head. He was successful and had invented the first human-hair straightener. This invention has helped a…
