When it comes the time of Thanksgiving I begin to wonder what I am thankful for. There are billions of things I’m thankful for, but I came up with three very important things. I am thankful for my parents, my dog, and the lake.…
I am your average 12 year old boy I like video games animals and exploring the wild. I am thankful for a lot of things I am grateful for but I will be talking about the ones that really take the cake! Let's get the little things out of the way. I am grateful for the earth that I am living on I am glad I am christian and the people that I love.…
Everyone should be thankful for what I have and I can adapt myself so that I feel thankful for things that some people…
It was Thursday morning and all I saw was my mom in the kitchen getting the turkey ready; while, my dad was getting the ladder from outside so my sisters can start bring the Christmas decorations down from the attic. It’s a big and fun day for all of us especially for me because I get to spend quality time with my family just like any other year.…
Living in daily thanksgiving and confessing God’s hand in all things are two things that we can do that go together well. If we are acknowledging that everything we have in our daily lives it shows that we are living in thanksgiving.…
My dogs taught me what it is to love and to be loved. My dogs taught me benevolence and kindness, but most of all, my dogs taught me how to be happy again. For that, I am forever…
I partially agree with your statement. Dudley and Stephens’s actions can be forgiven, but not forgotten. Going through starvation can be really dire and a struggle for many people, but the fact of intentionally slaughtering a person to death due to lack of food to survive in order to eat can be very devastating and sorrow simultaneously. I do moderately agree that they did not want to make the decision to murder the man, however, then again wanted to do it because of his health status and they thought it would be ethical to murder the man to save lives.…
Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving, many people don't even think about the Native Americans. Most people are all happy and smiley and thanking the Pilgrims for starting this glorious day. The truth is, those people should all be ashamed of themselves. Thanksgiving was started by the Native Americans, therefore, it should honor the natives. As of now, Thanksgiving has no relation to the Natives, gives no honer to the Natives, and gives them no credit for starting the holiday. Because of this problem, I have come up with a proposal… to rename Thanksgiving to Native Thanks Day.…
The Lord is a very generous and loving God. We, as followers and believers of Christ, should be thankful for everything He does. Many people in the world are not thankful for all the things the Lord does for them. They tend to complain about their life and worry about what they do not have rather than think about all the things they are privileged to have. People worry too much about who has the best phone, or car, or house, etc. and they do not focus on what is really important, which is their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is very easy to think of all the things we do not have and be unthankful. We can be jealous and covetous. But the hard thing to do is to remember to thank God for everything He has provided for us and for the wonderful life that He has given us.…
“Keep your eye open to your mercies. The man who forgets to be thankful has fallen asleep in life.” There are so many things to be thankful for in life, big and small. I am thankful for my grandparents, my dogs and cat, and my mom. I am thankful for them because of everything they do for me.…
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks. It is also the time to sit down and enjoy a meal with your family. Even though enjoying a meal with your family is very important, Thanksgiving is also important to ask you and your family what are you thankful for. Being thankful can be a long or short accomplishment; a goal that can be achieved. This year, I’m thankful that I’m currently enrolled at Thomas Nelson Community College, graduated from high school, and my family is supporting me through college.…
As the first pilgrims arrived at Plymouth Rock and had a feast with the Indians, they shared a moment of thanks together. They gave thanks for all their blessings, thus, creating our lovely day of Thanksgiving. When Thanksgiving is thought of, the first thing that comes to mind is turkey and a plentiful amount of food. Thanksgiving to me, is the time to be together with the ones you care about. Coming together for a day to just be with each other and to catch up is what Thanksgiving means to me.…
Thanksgiving is a time for reflection, appreciation, and giving thanks. In this time of gratitude, I would like to give thanks to each and every one of you.…
Thanksgiving, what does it mean? Why do we celebrate it? That’s what we are going to talk about.…
The day before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 23, 2016, my parents, sister, and I file into my dad’s 2006 Chevy Silverado (with five dogs and luggage) and we travel to my paternal grandparent’s house in Mansfield, Ohio for a great Thanksgiving celebration. During the two-hour car ride from Warren, Ohio to Mansfield, Ohio, my family listens to the Sirius XM Holiday Music Channel. We partake in the “premature listening to Christmas music ritual” because as my dad expresses, “My girls are home from college and I made my cranberry dressing, it feels like the holidays to me.” Under this reasoning, my family deems it acceptable to prematurely listen to the holiday music. As we arrive at my grandparent’s house, the dogs start jumping and wagging…
