On February 7th, 1978, Ashton was born five minutes after his twin brother, Michael. Most people do not realize Ashton has a twin brother. The reason for this is due primarily to his brother being born with cardiomyopathy, a deadly disease which eats away at the heart’s muscle; he was given about six hours to live, but survived with a transplant. As you can see Michael Kutcher also suffers from cerebral palsy, making it difficult to control of voluntary muscles, and is not brought into the public often. Ashton’s life drastically changed as he flew all over the world doing photo shoots and runway shows, according to the Ashton Kutcher Network. Ashton did runways for top designers such as for top fashion designers such as Calvin Klein, Versace, and Tommy Hilfiger. Imagine going from sweeping the floors to walking the runway in clothes worth hundreds and even thousands of dollars! This was all during the year of 1997. During 1998 Ashton went to Hollywood to try out for a few television shows. Ashton had two auditions in one day. The first was for “Wind on Water,” and the second for “That 70s Show.” Ashton was then faced with a dilemma as to which one he should choose. Most of us know which one he chose, and fortunately he did choose “That 70s Show” because not long after the other show was canceled. He became an instant star as the loveable, comedic doofus Michael Kelso on “That 70s Show.” Ashton stayed on this television series for 6 seasons, he was reportedly earning an estimated $250,000 to $300,000 per episode in his latter days of the show! What a change from his early life.
Kutcher, wanting to conquer all aspects of his ability, branched out into producing. He is credited with producing two of his films, including being the executive producer on The Butterfly Effect. He is also credit with co-creating his most successful production venture, a little hidden camera
