Did you know that without animals being used for testing, we would not be able to use cosmetic items safely? Even is they were safe there would be no way we would know that at anytime out face or body would break out with a rash. There has been a HUGE controversy over testing animals. My first reason is testing animals helps put an end to human suffering. According to an article on Controversy of Animal Testing, "It is preferred that animals suffer as opposed to a human, with the aim of reducing human suffering." I agree that without knowing if a cosmetic would be safe would create more human suffering. Without knowing if a chemical could kill you or physically harm you or not would a really bad thing. And think about it if animals weren't our "test dummies" then we could be washing our face with a face cleanser and our skin could just come off, or we could get really sick from chemicals.
Except the AWA excludes birds, rats, and mice bred for research, cold blooded animals, and farm animals used for food purposes." this is because we use those animals to survive.
