Argumentative Humanitarian Award Paper

A Humanitarian award is given to an individual with passion, and care towards other people not just himself. No matter what distance it may be they are there to help people around the world. Anquan Boldin is deserving of the Humanitarian Award not just for his love towards other human beings, but his love towards wanting to help the youth of America.

Anquan Boldin is a wide receiver for the NFL team the San Francisco 49ers. He is a person of many talents on and off the field. Due to his humble up bringing he is very passionate to helping underprivileged youth. He looks to help them every day push their limits by expanding their educational opportunities. Through his foundation, he provides mentors for children and many educational opportunities. Boldin has also has protested in front of congress about strengthening human rights protections for communities in Africa effected by oil mining. …show more content…
Boldin and his wife do this every year, they give $1 million dollars of their money to help the youth of America.

Boldin was the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year. The NFL and Nationwide will donate 50,000 dollars to his foundation Q81.The Walter Payton Man of the Year Award is on of the NFL's most prized awards, named after the Chicago Bears Legend running back Walter Payton. Walter Payton was a man who did great things on and off the field like Anquan and many before him.

This is all proof that Anquan Boldin is accepting of the Humanitarian Award for being such a passionate person about the world we live in and the future it holds. Anquan Boldin is deserving of the Humanitarian Award not just for his love towards other human beings, but his love towards wanting to help the youth of America.

    Friday Night Lights’ Boobie Miles and Oklahoma Sooner Marcus Dupree have quite the similarities when it comes to their football glory. Boobie Miles and his Uncle L.V. had dreams of Boobie turning professional and being a highly paid running back in the NFL. Marcus Dupree, a standout high school football player from Mississippi was recruited by the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas on a football scholarship. Dupree signed his letter of intent to join the Oklahoma Sooners after a brilliant high school career that included 87 touchdowns and 7,355 yards; he was simply the best running back to come out of high school ever (Bissinger 1). However, things changed quickly during his sophomore year at Oklahoma. Dupree told his Coach Barry Switzer that he had a dream he would tear up his knee in that day’s game but Barry didn’t care; he played. He ended up tearing every ligament in his knee that day, season over, career in jeopardy.…
